The scene: taupe landscape under a broad blue sky. Heat battered against the rocks and made the air shimmer. The ocean in the distance sparkled menacingly.

Fleurette bobbed along feeling smug and protected under a polka-dotted parasol. Also: note her bag, chunky with a supply of water and sunblock. Her serperior Sindri slithered along beside her, waiting patiently every time Fleur stopped to crouch down and poke at something in the dirt (which was often).

See — this was Route 115. One-one-five. And if Fleur knew anything about reading maps (she didn't), there was an entrance to THE Meteor Falls somewhere around. Just the thought made her heart beat faster. Meteor Falls! Dragons!

A whistle split the air and Fleur whirled around with her hands up in some kind of fighting stance. Sindri calmly raised his snout and sniffed. There was no one in sight but a bird pokemon wheeling sharply in the sky to somewhere just out of view. Fleur, maybe her train of thought was still lingering too much on DWAGONS but she couldn't not investigate.

She had to go around a ledge and over another but then she spotted the two forms. It was probably the heat getting to her brain but the bird perched on the crouching girl's head transformed their mutual shape into something unknown and Fleur had a pokeball in her hand and Sindri at her back before she realized she was not, in fact, staring at a mystery draconic pokemon but another human being.

"Oh," she said with visible disappointment, then she brightened because along with being a dragon enthusiast, she was also very much a people person. "Hi! Wow! Is that a fletchinder?" Fleur goggled a bit at the bird, this probably the first time she had seen a Kalosian pokemon outside of Kalos or her very cute and very gooey sliggoo.
