       Those days where Lars would wander alone in Shoal Cave. Not searching for Pokémon, but— To think. And maybe converse with the deity, maybe, in the back of his mind while doing so. They both didn’t know why that Zap Cannon attack that had been thrown their way had hit with such power, despite the attack itself having a low accuracy rate. And then he remembered that strange—was he misremembering things, or was there a freak sandstorm near the end of the siege that they ultimately had to retreat from? Shit, why was his memory refusing to cooperate… He’s lost in his thoughts all alone (heh) until a voice shakes him out of it. “Why hello there, Miss Colt. And please,” he trailed off as he held his hand up, “…call me Lars. It’s better for the both of us.” After a few moments of silence, he had to ask, “What brings you out here?” Surely she wasn’t going to be planting some seeds for that deranged carrot that the Glastrier liked to chew at…? @tallulah |

He quirked his eyebrows her way, the hint of a grin spreading across his face. “Well, hopefully with two of us searching, we can cover more ground. It’s hard looking alone—especially when you need a very specific Pokémon. Is there, like, anything in particular you’re looking for?” He hoped that her answer was not going to be a Glalie, because there was one particular asshat of a Glalie that lived in the caves that was out for blood—his blood. Even if it had already been a year, he was still being chased by the literal ‘pac-man’ whenever he would come down here. “Also, it’s way too hot outside. I like it in here. It’s cool.” @tallulah |

He was missing only two more Pokémon before he conceivably had all the non-legendary Ice-types that existed, so whoever found one first—he hoped they weren’t going to get into a squabble. However— A loud, unfortunately familiar roar shook the cavern and Lars swore in the back of his mind— Because the very same fucking Glalie that had been chasing after him for a year now had returned, yet again! “Oh, hell no,” he hissed, quickly moving and getting in front of Tallulah just in case the Ice-type went bananas. “You—you handle the Hippopotas, I’ll take care of this asshat!” he continued as a Sandstorm started to manifest no thanks to the small hippopotamus that had…waddled in behind the terrifying, scarred Glalie. “This shithead has unfinished business with me, and I’m not going to let you get hurt because of it,” he continued as the Glalie roared in his direction, scarred horns eager for battle as a sudden barrage of Ice Shards were released their way. time to settle the score once and for all, you fucking Glalie @tallulah |

“Quindi vuoi il mio sangue? Così sia,*” he growled in Alto Marean before bringing his hands together and conjuring up an equal amount of jagged shards of ice and sending those flying at the Glalie. Obviously the Ice-type was surprised at what the human right in front of him had done. How the fuck was that possible?! “How are you holding up over there?!” he shouted as more unevenly-sized shards joined the first batch he’d sent hurtling at the Gallie—now too shocked to actually retaliate because of what he was doing. A sudden blast of Icy Wind then came headed his way—however while to normal humans it would be rather cold, to Lars it was nothing at all, being immune to winter’s chill thanks to the blessing of the deity. “Still want a bite out of me, huh?” he taunted the Glalie, who roared at him before charging again—this time in an attempt to take a big, nice, fat Crunching bite out of him. However, another explosion of arctic energy emanated from his hands, an attempt to freeze the Glalie in an even more grotesque mouth-open posture, or if not freeze the Pokémon, drive it away—as far away from where they were as possible. *You want my blood? So be it. @tallulah |

Well, the boss at least until the deity themselves decided to claim Shoal Cave as their own. Mouth frozen in an ungainly snarl, the chunks of ice that had fallen at his feet were actually growing in size, before he got an idea— With a shoving gesture, the growing sheet of ice then struck the Glalie, before he looked over at where— Ah, shit. “I guess you know what I am, then,” he said as he tilted his head, suggesting they go deeper into the caves. “Not exactly fully human, but not fully divine either.” After a few moments of silence, he just had to ask— “Did Sénon say anything about this to you?” the score has been settled. For now. (skipping Glalie, but he knows it’ll be returning) @tallulah |

“Sorry you had to find out about it in such a…manner,” he apologized as he continued on their way, going deeper into the cave. Due to the way the Glalie had been driven off, other Pokémon wouldn’t wander near—however, this time there was a Dewgong sliding happily across the ice, not a single care in the world. “…apparently that Glalie’s been making life hell for everything in here,” he remarked quietly, leaving the Dewgong alone to enjoy its merry way as it continued to belly-flop across the ice. He wondered what would happen if both of them saw what they were looking for—and only one of them could grab it. It was a possibility, after all. skipping Dewgong @tallulah |
