"It's not just Theo and I, Pryde," Bill said, taking in the fresh order. "You're well and truly in the DILF camp, if the posters and fanart are to be believed."

Bill moved to the oven to start the next dish. It was a gratin, complete with toasted breadsticks, melted cheese, and filled with roasted pumpkin and winter veggies. "Looks like they ordered the 'Pumpkin Spice Surprise'," he said, as Pumpkaboo added the titular 'surprise' to the pot. What was it? Nothing fatal, most likely.

The second half of the order was pasta. Bill dropped the noodles into the Scalding water, courtesy of his Milotic. A few minutes later he fished them out, and Salazzle Double Slapped the spaghetti, testing it for readiness and adding some much needed browning.

While the people didn't pay their cook's words much attention he rather be safe. Though with new orders up Pryde sends out a new set of pokemon. There is some disbelief at Theo's statement of having heard the the word around the sub. While PICKING UP somethings the Munchlax tries to eat some of their ingredients. Raphael ends up needing to grab the oddly not cold box the Swirlix brought them for the dish, "Try that again and you'll be sorry," he warns as the baby pokmon nods. [break][break]

"I can't say I know what you're talking about when it comes to 'fanart' but it's definitely unsettling," he replies as Munchlax FLINGS the ingredients they need into the pot. Before Froslass uses WILL-O-WISP to help with the fires.

"Looks like the dinner rush is finally hitting," he comments as now three orders were needing to be made at one time. First he calls for the Farfetch'd to help CUT up the salad for the Salad Dish. Meanwhile the Meowth would help RATTLE up the Milktank to help with the shakes.

Foamy milk squirted from the rattled Miltank, filling the waiting cup with a warm Milk Drink. With a quick chill and a stir it would be ready!

"There was some posted in the common room of the sub, last I was there. I took a quick snap of a very tasteful piece depicting Lloyd in a library with one of his fellow scientists," Bill said, showing taking out his phone to show Theo.

As this was all happening, the dinner rush really was picking up, and Bill's Kabuto, Salazzle and Milotic were working double-time. Salazzle and Milotic finished off another rejuvenating latte with their Heat Wave and Life Dew, while Kabutops used his scythes to slash up the cheese for the caprese salad.

Hearing the next order Pryde calls on new pokemon, and while he rather not have such a beast as large as Heatran near their booth there seemed to be no other choice. With all the fire in their vicinity they needed something that could withstand it with their FLASH FIRE, as Froslass used her AURORA VEIL for the icier dishes. Then his poltaegeist ensures to take charge of the Tea because there was no way they were going to let their TEA TIME fail. [break][break]

While his pokemon help Raphael looks to the image and can't help but give a snicker, "Amusing, send that to me will you? I'm sure it'll give my wife a laugh," he doesn't comment on the 'potchamp' as despite his knowledge he's never heard of such a thing.

despite the HAZE, bayleef's AROMATHERAPY is strong enough not to be overwhelmed. it sinks into the tea, swirling and mixing to provide it with the best flavors. that, along with roserade's PETAL DANCE, should set them up for the round.

"That would depend on work back home, I'm sure you recall how busy it can be," he comments to his wife's location as he returns his current pokemon to what's needed for the next order. He can't be as much help as before but it seems another of the team can pick up the slack no problem. For now to help with the fruit the tiny drgaon uses GRAV APPLE to help give it some extra flavor, while the Farfetch'd uses CUT for the fine tuning of the pikachu dish.[break][break]

He gives a small chuckle, "She is definitely exceptional for putting up with my bullshit for so long, and on top of that she's blessed me with a child," the singular use is purposeful. "What of you Bill? Any partner?"

"She's dead," Bill said simply. "Disappeared fifteen years ago while on a cruise. Haven't had much long-term since then." It was a bit of a mood killer, but Bill was too wrapped up in the kitchen work to mind. Pokemon flashed in and out of the cramped space, adding finishing touches to all the dishes.

Theo had sliced up the burger and accoutrements, and Bill's Nidoqueen slammed down on the set with a sizzling Fire Punch, scorching the bun and frying the chips.

Plusle and Toxtricity each placed a hand on the float, charging the drink with delicious electricity.

The fruit flan was almost done. All it needed was a dash of. "Acid," Bill said, mainly to himself and completely unrelated to the memories of his wife's death. "And we're done!" He slipped all three plates across the counter and grabbed the next order.

Bill returned his many helpers, and suddenly the kitchen feels empty. Moments later and the place is packed again, as Greninja and Mawile appear, ready to help with the latest order. Mawile battered the pizza dough flat, adding flavor and removing thickness, while the frog flicked olives, basil, and cheese onto the finished disk. A quick ember and it would be ready to serve. Pokemon were much faster than ovens.

"True," Bill said, nodding at Lloyd's wise words. Long term commitment was a young man's game, as strange as that sounded. As Bill got older, he appreciated more and more the connection and simplicity of a no-strings fling. "I'm not sure I want anything serious, either. I'm quite content with my lifestyle. What about you Theo? Are you married?"
