In the distant darkness, the faint buzz of machinery echoed across the abyss. But that's not what had Atticus's attention. Two brightly glowing lights cut a yellow swathe through the dark. They circle each other with their movements, dancing almost, a neon trail left in their wake.

"I've never seen Magnemite do that before."

Magnemite didn't usually get this drunk on electricity. "Did they tell you how many there were?" he peeled his eyes away from the light show.

They fell gently onto GABRIEL BLACK.

"My guess is twenty or so."

Tilting back to the dark expanse of the power plant turned ballroom, fingers clawed a Poke Ball up from his waist. Click. Red light faded into a Pikachu scarred from battle. A v-shaped cut roughly fours inches long left a vacant space at the tip of its tail.

Ozzie lept to Atticus's shoulder and stood tall on his hind legs.

"You game with me acting as bait? Figured Ozzie draw em in with a few sparks, and you'd hurled the Poke Balls."

"Or did they not give you any to use? Cause I sure as hell ain't pulling from my own pocket for this shindig."

Atticus turned and stepped into the dark, clicking his tongue in a silent order to Pikachu. Ozzie's tail crackled and sparked, Electro Ball used to light the path ahead. Immediately two Magnemite swarmed on the duo's location.

Two down, and insert a number here to go. Atticus pushed on, another Electro Ball drawing three more Magnemite to them. He'd make small talk but honestly, what's the point? "Hmm." he pulled his phone from his pocket and started up a game of Tetris.
