Music blasted through his apartment, only to pause as the usual text notification hit his phone, interrupting his jams. Andres set aside the sandwich griddle, wiping his hands on his tank top before reaching over to pick up his phone. As the music resumed, he read over the text for a moment, smiling at the selfie. “And- new contact photo.”

naw. making grilled cheese in my sleep tho.

He snapped his own selfie, next to his griddle, grinning at the camera before sending it back.

His response is immediate, and Andres decided it was probably best to set aside his half grilled cheese until he could focus properly on it. Then the next selfie loads, and he tilted his head. He sort of understood where this was going. Maybe.

Andres isn’t one to hold out too long when he was so clearly wanted. He wasn’t a sadist, though his track record of teasing others might say otherwise.

He knew exactly what he would get. He just didn’t want to seem that desperate despite the fact that he was already moving to slapdash make his grilled cheese. It sizzled a little as he pressed the two sides together before he yanked the still gooey melt out and began to chow down.
