he accepts the answer since it's a mutual feeling. that, and he finds himself frozen with noah all over him. kyle's tensed up, as with every physical touch that happens with him, though he's enjoying this more than anything else.

in an attempt to get control of himself, he attempts to let words fill the scene instead of pursuing actions over anything else.

"why here and not home though?" he asks. "we can also do this sort of thing there."

"you know me. i'm impatient." noah laughs, setting his forehead against the other's. "i just feel like this is a rare alone moment, y'know? no people. no pokemon."

lazily, the gym leader melts into the other. arms slide around the other as his chin falls slowly to rest against the other's shoulder. staring at the rosy wall of their sauna room, noah mutters softly against the shell of kyle's ear.

"i'm fine like this though." noah says. "we gotta be responsible right? we're upstanding public figures. role models for all." the smirk tickles kyle with the brush of its slight curve.

true. there was no impatient scratching on the door by any of the younger pokemon, no random howling in the backyard, and no loud growls and snarls of his pokemon rough housing in the backyard.

the curve in his lips further move upward. noah's contact does more than make him physically hot even after considering the steam from the sauna. when he mentions all those things, he can't help but concede to his point.

"true," he agrees in a tone. "can't just publicly display our affection even if you do it all the time."

he's learned not to mind it as much in the recent days, but decency still has to be observed. it's a value that kyle has slowly strayed away from as time went on unfortunatley.

"you sure you're not getting hot being all over me like that?" kyle asks abruptly as a bead of sweat rolls from his neck down his torso.

steam snaking into gaps between skin and wood. the smell of warm oak and eucalyptus salts the perimeters of their bodies. and like steam, noah's voice pools lowly:

"i think the question is, can you handle it?"

"uh, i grew up in hoenn, kanto boy."

he meant temperature during his last statement, forgetting to catch the second meaning of the term. he remains composed for the most part until noah makes it more obvious what he's pertaining too.

"i've never been to kanto. is it as temperate as hoenn?"

kyle remains seated, expression the same as the second before. noah being clingy was normal behavior, though he did show his true intentions earlier. kyle just assumed that it was done for now until noah gets more explicit.

noah's flirting falls on deaf hoennian ears. briefly, noah wilts. his bare shoulders fall into sad slanted shapes like spinach that has been steamed for too long. but his expression is not one of disappointment.

a smile still remains. almost sympathetic in the way it tucks into his cheeks and in the way it remains coy underneath swooped eyebrows.

"hoenn's more temperate." noah says. "to be honest, man, i don't know if remember much of kanto anymore."

he leans back, admiring the other's dewy face.

"doesn't matter though. not right now."

probably shouldn't have mentioned kanto, but at least noah recovers from it that kyle doesn't feel the need to correct his words. he smiles as he leans back.

"well, we still have johto. at least i don't have to ask a lot of question about that place."

he's been there multiple times, having stayed for more than an accumulative period of over a year. it was nice, but he's not sure if he can say that he prefers it over hoenn.

with the way hoenn is wired though, he's more likely to choose that place.

"where are we taking the next vacation?"

the steam becomes an added weight to his language. against his flush skin, heat piles on in waves, leaving the salt of sweat with every ebb.

"maybe sinnoh, next." noah muses. "or maybe just a staycation instead?" he wraps his arms around the other, tugging him closer than they already are. "then i'll have you all to myself with the comforts of home."

"you're stealing me away from the dogs as well?" he asks, tone interrogative and almost challenging. "you can almost certainly try."

he smiles like the :smile: emoji.

"i'm kidding. i'll take a staycation any time of the day." he starts to comb noah's hair backwards, feeling the grime of sweat and oil accumulating on the tips of each strand. "just a day without league work. maybe a week. a month will be most ideal."

"i'll be the type to get an early retirement," he tells noah. "you'd be the one that gets too restless to even consider it."

he gives noah a peck on the cheek as he gets too giddy with his unclothed body right up close to him. sentimental thoughts and a lull of displays of affection forces him to do one once in a while.

opening his mouth for a retort to noah's allegations, he stops when he starts to think that he may have been right. he'd been unaware to the shift of his work ethics, since he's pretty certain he wouldn't have done it before.

the more that he thinks about it, the more likely noah may be right.

he chuckles as he thinks of an excuse, but nothing of that nature comes. "well, who else can they call?" there were other candidates, but kyle easily knows the pros and cons. "well, you do that, and i'll do what you need me to do."

noah crumples into the kiss like a blushing napkin. the shape of kyle's kiss is a cordoned crown on his skin, sweat and the slightest shift in heat circling around it.

"yeah, man. i'll take your calls," noah says. he performs, thumb pressed against the shell of his ear. his pinky pointed toward his flapping lips. "and we'd be in the middle of doing the nasty, right? and i'll be like, ohhh, sorry man, he's busy right now. try calling some other time."

elite two sounds kinda nice. he wonders when it'll be the official title since they can't ever fill out the numbers with dahlia's apparent high standards for the position in contrast with the gym leaders.

"do we really have to be doing the nasty in that scenario?" kyle asks, smiling. a finger traces the frame of his face before breaking into a wide smile. "you always think of that, huh?"

hopefully it's not deflected, since kyle will almost always deny despite the uncertainty on his behalf with that statement.

if there was any left.

"'sides, i can't think of anything else if you're half-naked already." noah sighs— air slipping through his teeth in dreamy currents. "maybe when i'm old and wrinkly and my libido's shriveled up like a buzzwole victim."

by now, the heat is a physical canopy. one that descends to mask the frame, clinging to skin and hair with the weight of stone. like the sculpture of the veiled lady and sans the contour of purity.

the laundry allegation was met with silence. he offers no other words as he slights his sights elsewhere while the moment passes on.

"well, you can think of something else we can do once we're out of here," he suggests.

kyle's mind was blank and empty for the most part. whatever comes in his head escapes to his mouth without much processing, most of them including activities within the same week, whether the last one or the following.

he can't say that he's into whatever was on noah's mind though.
