The monkey did not take the interest of the trainer. It was not a dog, nor did he know anyone who would take it since it was valuable trade fodder for another dog. The best decision to make was to obviously ditch it for another encounter, which he hopes to be a dog, or a certain fox with a hidden ability.

They were looking for a small, male, fire-typed fox. What they encountered wasn't exactly what Kyle was wishing for, but it was a compromise he was willing to take. Didn't have much of a choice when his Mightyena was already going straight for it. He could halt it with a simple command, but Kyle had already decided to get the Fennekin in his collection.

The wild Pokemon meets the Mightyena's charge with his own, flames surrounding his body with the tackle. The Dark-type wasn't fazed by the attack, proceeding to endure the embers that caught the tips of its mane and the singed fur from the collision. It's fangs were ready, bared to intimidate the Fennekin from the start. The simple act may have had an effect to the smaller Pokemon, and ultimately, decided the match before it even started.

The open maw manages to reach the fox, the bite big enough to almost get the Fire-type's whole face in his fangs. Sharp teeth drew blood, and then a cry from its prey. The Fennekin's will to fight has already been shaken by the imminent defeat and potential injury, if not death. It would have happened should the Mightyena be a wild Pokemon as well, but alas, the Fennekin was lucky to have met it under the ownership of Kyle.

A Pokeball made its way to the Fennekin, still writhing in pain as the Mightyena's teeth latched onto its face. An attempt for capture was made.
