it's still early in the day, surely they can spend thirty minutes to an hour to just fuck around. quite literally, in fact, as cian's eyes drift low.

he takes another sip, finishing off his coffee.

Still holding his gaze, without a single word, he stands, calmly walking around the table towards Cian. Never does he look away, never does he rush. And, when finally in front of him, he stops, a slight smirk on his lips.

It’s only then when he starts undoing his belt. Slowly.

Mars still looks him in the eyes, because naturally, there are only a few things more fun than having Cian try to be patient when it comes to this sort of stuff.

And yet, he’s still doing as asked.

it all moves a little too slow for him, excruciatingly so, and by the time mars' belt comes undone he's left hungry for more.

naturally, he pouts.

he reaches out to brush against mars' thigh.

As per usual, Cian has no patience, especially when it comes to this sort of thing.

But, the way he pouts is adorable, and it just encourages Mars to keep teasing him when in reality he too feels an urge to speed things up.

The belt comes undone, and a hand reaches for Cian’s cheek.

”In a rush, huh? Cute.”

His pants do come off though, and once they do, an eyebrow is raised, Mars still holding his gaze.

cian has plenty of patience, excuse you, but it runs especially thin when teased. so when mars' pants finally come off, falling to the floor, he exhales, peering down with enough hunger for the both of them.

they already know the answer.

after, he leans into mars' touch, relishing in the warmth of his presence. he tilts his head over, kissing mars' cheek.

"so, private jet ready yet, babe?"

It’s a good thing Mars likes things that way, and that he likes Cian that way, so that afterwards – when they’re doing nothing more than enjoying the warmth of each other’s embrace – he can’t help but chuckle, smiling gently.

There's a reason why he had decided to show up so early, and it seems as if he was right after all.

Now, they have the whole day ahead of them; a whole day to enjoy Cian's small birthday vacation.

yeah, it's definitely a good thing that mars showed up early. if he had been any later, they would likely arrive on alto mare around evening, just in time for the sunset and not much else. this way, at least they have the whole day and evening to spend there. possibly night, too, but who knows what'll happen.

he smiles in return, nodding.

"ready whenever you are."

The issue is mustering the will to get up and leave the apartment, because as much as he knows they’ll enjoy their time in Alto Mare, being here is already too nice – too good, too fun.

”Mmm… I don’t wanna get up though.”

There’s a short laugh, and he softly kisses Cian, his smile never fading away no matter what. And yet, despite his words, he stretches, sitting up.

”Oh. You might wanna bring some extra clothes if we decide to stay the night.”

They shouldn’t, because it’s the middle of the week and Mars still has work the next day, but realistically, it will likely happen. He knows as much.

that's the issue, isn't it? it's just so difficult to get up, get dressed, and leave. but he really wants to visit alto mare with mars, so he soon follows after, sighing as he stands.

"will we stay the night?"

they likely will. he only asks to be cute about it.

"...did you bring extra clothes?"

if not, mars could likely get andrea to fly over to give him more, or something. andrea's always there to help.

cian walks around the room, picking up scattered clothing as he gets dressed.

In the middle of picking up his clothes to get dressed, Mars pauses to look at Cian, holding his gaze for a moment. He knows the answer, of course, just like he knows what answer his own answer would be if the roles were reversed, so he does no more than walk over to him and gently kiss his cheek.

”Yeah, told Andrea to take a bag to the jet. I figured we might stay.”

Cian’s right, after all: Andrea is always there to help.

”We can always go shopping in Alto Mare if we feel like it though.”

Nothing like shopping in a foreign city, right?

With that said, Mars smirks, getting dressed so they can finally leave.

he smiles, content as he leans into the kiss.

"but what about work?"

perhaps a little selfishly, he knows mars can simply skip a day of work, but does he want him to do that? they both have responsibilities and it'd be unfair for him to expect mars to ignore his, even if only for a day.

"shopping sounds nice. we can pick outfits for each other."

Mars does have the privilege of being able to decide his own schedule – to an extent. There are things even he cannot avoid yet, and every single hour being spent away from the office had to be made up for later. These are things he already knew, and they’re also sacrifices he’s willing to make. All because he wants to spend these couple of days with Cian; because today out of all days, Cian does get to be selfish. At least when it comes to Mars, that is.

”It’s fine, I’ll handle it. It just means I’ll be a little busier than usual for the rest of the week.”

It’s somewhat of an understatement, especially considering he’s also been taking some afternoons off to search around Mt. Pyre lately, but it’s still the truth nevertheless. He’ll make it work. He always does, after all.

he pouts if only for mars' sake because honestly, he'd be fine with seeing mars just a little less if it means having all of him today and for some of tomorrow. and yeah, cian can be selfish, because today is meant to be his day, isn't it?

returning the wink, cian soon finishes dressing and heads over to the door to wait for mars.
