The cold breeze of a Autumn night broke into the office when Mars opened the window, his gaze being momentarily drawn to the skies where the moon shone brightly. Full moon. The symbol of completion and clarity. And yet, here he was, stuck on the same puzzle he had been attempting to solve for almost three months now. Well, that wasn’t entirely true, there had been progress, but…

”Open the ‘Prophecies’ file in the 'Azelf' folder.” He sighed, and it was then that the lights of the Elgyem that appeared to be slumbering in a corner of the room twinkled a few times – running the perpetual IMPRISON cycle that safeguarded the office against any teleportation. He barely paid it any mind, approaching the desk and sitting on the comfortable leather chair before grabbing a pen. Carefully, the words he knew all too well by now were written, the note the being stuck to the edge of the screen, over the files displayed:

Mars knew that couldn’t be the whole message. Even if Eris Halla had spoken of something called ‘The Darkest Day’. Was that what Azelf had attempted to warn them about? There had to be more. This couldn’t be the whole message. There had to be more prophecies, more words.

Soon, Team Rocket would venture into the Tree of Life just as their leader had asked of them, and there was no telling what would happen then. He needed to find an answer before then. He needed to recover his lost memories. But, how?

Another sigh. Instead of continuing to ask himself questions, Mars reached for the keyboard, making a new entry into the files…

A blue velvet box laid open on the desk, the gorgeous golden bow that had adorned it now wrinkled and undone, and part of its delightful content being no longer present. Bonbons. Homemade. The same ones Serena Malcolm had given him when they had seen each other earlier during the day. Mars had never been one to enjoy such sweet confections all that much, but as hours passed and twilight faded into nighttime, the bonbons resulted to be a welcomed treat while doing research that continued to give him no answers.

Was it fitting, then, that Serena Malcolm’s own face was among the ones present in the next file he opened?

The thought left him as quickly as it came, for Mars found himself distracted by the sight of one dainty paw pulling at the golden bow from the side of the desk.

”Delphi.” The faintest of smiles tugged at his lips when looking down upon the Sun Pokémon, and when eyes as if amethysts met his, she ’meowed’, swaying her forked tail as if waiting. He indulged her then, giving her the ribbon before turning his attention back to the screen that displayed information on the charms given by Mesprit.

Eyes marked by gold watched the Symbol Pokémon depicted on the screen, each form being more than familiar to him. Yet, no matter how much time Mars spent looking at them after having arranged them in a multitude of different ways until finding the one that made the most logical sense, there was still no clear answer.

The Original One?

A Sinnohan upbringing called forth memories of the myths he had been fascinated with as a child and of the Church of Arceus’ own gospel. A recent experience beneath the ruins of a church, however, called forth ones that were much darker and more unpleasant. Could this really be about Arceus? It would have made sense, considering the way the myths spoke about the Guardians’ connection to the Alpha Pokémon and that Katherine Fairburne, avatar to one of the Creation pokémon, was among those chosen by the Lake Guardians. And, if this truly was about Arceus all along, then perhaps there were actually answers to be found beneath the ruins of the church once led by Bill Anderson.

Caught up in the downwards spiral that was his own theorising about the supposed meaning of a singular seemingly-insignificant word, Mars didn’t even notice the way one of his Inkay soundlessly floated out of the tank, only growing aware of the small pokémon’s presence once a tentacle wrapped around his forearm.

There, on his shirt, right on the spot the luminescent cephalopod seemed so interested in, there were spots of familiar maroon, and for a short moment, Mars frowned, wondering where the blood had come from. It was then that he remembered the events that had taken place only a few hours earlier. A traitor, a gun, and a trigger pulled in cold blood before Felix Gallagher’s own eyes.

With the matter having been dealt with, its importance to Mars had decreased significantly, becoming buried in his mind until brought to light by the actions of an Inkay.

By the time Mars walked through the penthouse’s door, the Persian was already waiting by the entrance, ready to greet him with a rumbling purr. It pressed its forehead against the palm of its owner’s hand, but it soon paused, taking a step back and sniffing the air with its dark nose. Mars understood. The pokémon could probably smell it clearly: the dried blood tainting the clothes he held, those he wore which weren’t his, and the lingering scent of BARNABY FINCH.

He had forced his way out of the hospital the moment he was told his health was no longer at risk, refusing to stay even a second longer than what was needed despite the horrific aftermath of the previous day’s meeting. He hadn’t even bothered with a change of clothes. And yet, when making his way home that night, he had found himself visiting Barnaby's place instead. Even once morning came, he wasn’t sure why his delirious and defeated self had made such a choice, but truth be told, it had been needed. That much he did know.

They made their way straight down to his office, and after unlocking the door, the clothes that were marked by shades of maroon and burgundy were immediately discarded in the small waste basket by the desk. No ceremony. He wouldn’t even bother with trying to salvage them. There were more important things to do, after all.

The meeting at Slateport Park had been arranged with the hope of understanding, and understanding had indeed come. Memories that had been lost for months had been restored, new prophecies had been revealed by the Lake Guardians, and the message written on the charms had become clear. If only they had learned the truth sooner. Was there even enough time left to prepare for what was to come?

Mars wasn’t sure, the doubts that consumed his heart perhaps being a lingering remnant of the overwhelming sense of defeat that had overtaken him when he had found himself covered in his own blood, but there was one thing he was certain of: he had to do everything in his power.

2021-09

• The Lake Guardians visited a minimum of fourteen individuals. Azelf gave prophecies to MARTÍN DEL MAR, PRIAM CONRAD, KATHERINE FAIRBURNE, CHRYSSA GLASGOW, RUBY WALKER, and one UNKNOWN. Mesprit gave charms to ERIS HALLA, SERENA MALCOLM, SUMMER PRESCOTT, and SÉNON GAME. Uxie gave charms to LOCKE JAMISON, MAVERICK NOAH RYDER, and two UNKNOWN INDIVIDUALS. Those visited by Mesprit became incapable of speaking of this encounter. Those visited by Uxie lost all memories of this encounter. They each were capable of seeing symbols in their charms, which no one else could see.
  
• It's likely that one of those visited by Uxie lost their amulet at the Mossdeep Space Center's Star Soirée. This charm was FOUND by Hideo Kino during the event. A few of those visited by the Lake Guardians also heard chryssa glasgow SPEAK OF HER ENCOUNTER with Azelf. Glasgow shared that the word 'GATHERING' had been occupying her thoughts ever since then.
• Martín del Mar, Locke Jamison, and Eris Halla met at Piazza Oro Grande Bank's corporate headquarters. JAMISON AND HALLA'S CHARMS REACTED to one another's presence, allowing all three to see symbols in the charms. Jamison's memories of their encounter with Uxie were temporarily restored. Halla was able to speak of meeting Mesprit.

  Due to concerns of more memories being lost, they attempted to WRITE the information down. This attempt failed.

  With the objective of understanding the Lake Guardians' intentions, they utilized FUTURE SIGHT. They saw multiple vision of a possible futures. In one, the 'The Darkest Day' devastated Galar. In another, a strange creature attacked Sootopolis' Tree of Life and killed Yveltal.

  This resulted in the death of del Mar's two Musharna, Jamison's Mega Evolved Orbeetle, and Halla's Noibat, as well as substantial physical damage to all three of them. It's suspected that the telepathic connection that allowed them to see these visions caused "bubbles in their brains". They soon lost all memories of these events.
• Eris Halla and Hideo Kino met. HALLA AND KINO'S CHARMS REACTED to one another's presence, allowing them to see and hear symbols in each other charm. Halla was once again able to speak of her encounter with Mesprit and her memories of what occurred when meeting del Mar and Jamison were temporarily restored.

• Locke Jamison and Sénon Game met.JAMISON AND GAME'S CHARMS REACTED to one another's presence, allowing them to see symbols in each other charm. Jamison's memories of his encounter with Uxie were temporarily restored once more, as well as those of their meeting with del Mar and Halla. They shared what they knew with Game. Both of them soon lost most memories of this encounter, as well as of previous ones.
• Martín del Mar and Katherine Fairburne met. They DISCUSSED THEIR ENCOUNTERS WITH AZELF. They both had words that had been occupying their thoughts ever since meeting the Being of Willpower: 'YOU' for del Mar and 'ENEMIES' for Fairburne. They did not share their prophecies with each other.
• Martín del Mar and Eris Halla met. HALLA'S CHARM DID NOT REACT. She told him about being able to see a symbol in it. Due to most of his memories of their encounter with Jamison being lost, del Mar believed this was the first time he heard of such a thing.

• Martín del Mar and Hideo Kino. KINO'S CHARM DID NOT REACT. Del Mar mentioned having seen a charm like Kino's before, although different in appearance. They spoke of the symbol Kino can hear and his lost memories of his encounter with Halla. The similarities to the situation surrounding the encounter between del Mar, Jamison, and Halla are noted.
• Eris Halla and Summer Atreides met. HALLA AND PRESCOTT'S CHARMS REACTED, but not in a proper manner. No memories were restored. Both their charms looked the same and they could see symbols in each other's. They later visited Martín del Mar's office to tell him about this.
• Martín del Mar and maverick noah ryder met. RYDER'S CHARM DID NOT REACT. Ryder mentioned seeing a symbol in his charm. Del Mar noticed that this charm looks like Hideo Kino's, leading to the hypothesis that something must happen when the two different types of charms are in close proximity to one another.
  
• Martín del Mar and priam conrad met. They DISCUSSED THEIR ENCOUNTERS WITH AZELF. Conrad revealed that a words had also been occupying their thoughts ever since meeting the Being of Willpower: 'YIELDS'. Conrad shared part of his prophecy.
• Serena Malcolm and Eris Halla met. MALCOLM AND HALLA'S CHARMS REACTED, but not in a proper manner. No memories were restored. Both their charms looked the same and they could see symbols in each other's. They discussed what they knew of the charms.

  The yellow orb disappeared. Like due to the condition that came as a result of their previous encounter, Martín del Mar, Locke Jamison, and Eris Halla found themselves being affected negatively by these events. The 'bubbles' in their brains burst, causing severe bleeding. They saw a vision of rifts and a blinding light attempting to break through an invisible barrier. They were rushed to the hospital.

”You’re feeling better, huh?” The Unown-? that had been robbed of its ability to LEVITATE within The Cloud hovered by his side, pressing against his arm, and although it was faint and fleeting, Mars allowed himself a smile. Once, he had thought that perhaps Unown might be incapable of emotion, but he could sense the Unown-?’s joy now. He could feel it in a way that brought him joy as well, and this joy also caused questions to rise.

The memories of what had taken place after going INTO THE WHIRLPOOL at the Mirage Island were still confusing to him, a mess he would need to unscramble in time, but there was one thing he was certain of: they had all survived thanks to the Unown.

”Let’s start off with you, then.” He would tell the Symbol Pokémon when sitting at his desk, for the fact of the matter was that Mars had no time. He needed to truly understand it all and perhaps the best way to do so was writing it all down.

Memories, after all, could easily be lost. Just like it happened within The Cloud.

The Symbol Pokémon. Thin Pokémon shaped like eyes with appendages that make them resemble a letter or a punctuation mark. They're flat. They're entirely black, except for a white sclerae. They can move their appendages independently like tentacles or fingers. Most are less than half a metre tall. Most weight less than five kilos. Variations in size may occur.

FURTHER INFORMATION[break][break]

• All Unown possess the ability LEVITATE. If they lose this ability, they may find themselves grounded.
• All Unown are only capable of learning the move HIDDEN POWER. This move's typing changes according to their enemy.
• Each of their forms has a counterpart in the Latin alphabet, yet Unown are said to resemble ancient writing and hieroglyphs. No one knows whether Unown predate or postdate written language, so there's no telling which one is based on which.
• They're elusive and tend to avoid most people.
• Their strength increases to an incredible degree when in groups. They empower each other.
• They can communicate with each other via TELEPATHY and summon each other.
• Most of them dwell in what is known as the UNOWN DIMENSION, a glimpse of which was seen during the MOSSDEEP SPACE CENTRE'S STAR SOIRÉE, held in September 2021.
• They can create portals between dimensions, as proven in November 2021 during TEAM ROCKET'S EXCURSION INTO THE TREE OF LIFE.
• They can manipulate reality and bend it to their will.
• The liminal layer between our universe and it's parallel (the so-called 'Cloud') has been STRENGTHENED BY THE DRK TRIAD WITH UNOWN. Perhaps further proof of the Unown's ability to manipulate reality.
• They have a degree of control over the DRK TRIAD's UNOWN REPORT, as proven by Martín del Mar and Adrian Malcolm when THEIR UNOWN ADDED ELEVEN ENTRIES TO THE REPORT.
• Members of the DRK TRIAD have partner Unown which may possess greater abilities than most of the species. One is believed to have KILLED A LEGENDARY POKÉMON (Moltres) in one blow during the Mossdeep Space Centre's Star Soirée.

• They may predate our universe as we know it. When the DRK TRIAD member known as Maldacena took us to "The Cloud", he showed some of us what I believe to be their data on their DISTANT PAST. Before Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, and their last sibling hatched from their eggs, there was Arceus, Unown, and nothing else.
• Everything in existence may be made of Unown. The coding of the universe. I could HEAR THEM WITHIN ME when in "The Cloud".
• The Unown are linked to ARCEUS or they were once. Do they still carry out its will? Is this what Arceus wants of me?
• The ABILITY TO TELEPORT I took from a DRK TRIAD member in another dimension may be an extension of the Unown's ability to travel through space-time.
• The DRK TRIAD's understanding of the Unown is perhaps greater than anyone's. I must gain their knowledge.
• They have CHANGED ME in ways I don't yet fully understand.

1. ISLAND

One of the Mirage Islands appeared in the location where the buoy containing a hologram of late League Champion Bailey Cooper was discovered (mentioned in SITREP DOME). An estimate of fifty people seem to have made it to this island. A list of notorious individuals present from both Team Rocket and League has been attached.

A riddle had been written in the sand, encouraging those present to venture into one of the four whirlpools offshore. Correct answer was NORTH, as indicated by a Nosepass, but venturing into other whirlpools seems to have led to the same result. We were all transported to a different dimension.

2. CLOUD
[break][break]
The dimension we were transported to shall be referred to as “The Cloud”. To be precise, as was explained by our captor, The Cloud is believed to be the liminal layer between our universe and its parallel. We suspect it to be a completely digital space, the presence of Porygon and of Unown in its coding supports this theory. It’s suspected that this means that it was artificially created.

The Cloud seems to serve as some sort of “back-up” plan. A way to restore and repair anomalies.

• 2.A. DRK TRIAD - MALDACENA
  [break][break]
  Upon first arriving to The Cloud, we were greeted by the DRK TRIAD’s logo, indicating their involvement. This came followed by what is suspected to be live footage of a man who referred to himself Maldacena.

  Maldacena claimed the DRK TRIAD believes our universe to be responsible for the potential destruction of all universes, and thus they seek to eliminate it. He referred to our universe as “The Origin Point”

  The reason behind his choice to transport us to The Cloud seems to have been to perform some form of test.

3. TERMINALS PT. 1
[break][break]
There were a number of instances when the system claimed we had been "scanned". Given the digital nature of The Cloud and the temporary loss of limbs, memories, and emotions suffered by most individuals after each scan, this is believed to have been their attempt at taking the data that composed our beings.

Clones of each individual were present, they appeared hostile and would attack if someone made use of electronic devices. I was attacked. Clones became more tangible after these attacks, as well as after each scan.

The first scan occurred immediately after Maldacena's greeting. He left us with a simple riddle to solve while Porygon attacked us. Solving this riddle granted us an image file and opened three possible paths.

• 3.A. TERMINAL 1: AVATAR
  [break][break]
  I was among those who chose the first terminal. A riddle awaited us there. We were expected to choose a legendary pokémon that would make for the last member in a team of six. The correct answer allowed for each pokémon type in the team to be present twice.

  The correct answer was RESHIRAM. Reshiram’s typing is Dragon/Fire.
  [break][break]
  Another file was given to us. This time unnamed. Digital versions of Reshiram and Yveltal and what appeared to be their former avatars attacked us then. Yveltal’s presence was due to individuals inputting the wrong answer. Former Elite Four member Thomas Benoit was Yveltal’s former avatar. The real Thomas Benoit later admitted to this. Based on the information given, Razz Kingsman is confirmed to be RESHIRAM'S CURRENT AVATAR.

  3.B. TERMINAL 2: LEGENDARIES
  [break][break]
  According to the explanation later on given by those present at Terminal 2, the riddle that awaited them involved choosing a pokémon that did not belong among legendary pokémon displayed. Two pokémon that we had no previous knowledge of were displayed:canines, ZACIAN and ZAMAZENTA. Their names are present in the Unown Report. The correct answers were DARKRAI due to its mythical classification and CRESSELIA due to her defined gender.

  Terminal 2 also had incorrect answers. They were attacked by digital versions of Darkrai and Cresselia, as well as an airborne train. This train may have been a reference to the events of OCTOBER 2019. Those present in Terminal 2 were also given a file.

  3.C. TERMINAL 3: ULTRA BEASTS
  [break][break]
  According to the explanation later on given by those present at Terminal 3, the riddle that awaited them involved choosing an Ultra Beast to complete the list provided. The correct answer was XURKITREE based on the classification of UB-03 LIGHTNING given to it by the League.

  Terminal 3 also had incorrect answers. They were attacked by digital versions of Xurkitree and a swarm of Poipole. This appears to have been a reference to the MAUVILLE WARFRONT during the ULTRA BEAST WAR. Those present in Terminal 3 were also given a file.

4. TERMINALS PT. 2

We were all transported (transferred?) back to the main terminal. Data loss by most individuals was significant at this point. I don’t believe I had lost much data, yet I began to experience a painful sensation akin to a cold-stimulus headache. This was likely a side effect of the transfer.

We were asked to collaborate and put all the files in order.
[break][break]
For the sake of making it out of The Cloud and discovering Maldacena’s intentions, I collaborated with kyle lopez, Katherine Fairburne, FERNANDO SILPH, and luka chêne in finding the correct order. The following is a recreation of the file order:

820 is the DRK TRIAD's designation for our universe. 490 is likely its parallel. Probably Sea Hoenn.

The following explanation was given by Maldacena once the sequence was submitted:

I. FILE 1: A simple depiction of our universe. All universes are born and die. The DRK TRIAD believes our universe (820) to be responsible for a future cataclysmic event that will threaten the end of all universes. Orange circle around it marks it as ORIGIN POINT for the death of all realities. Orange circle also references the dome surrounding the Hoenn region. DRK TRIAD confirmed responsible for DOME situation.

II. TERMINAL 2: Anomalies and dimensional tampering are what resulted in the Hoenn region being the ORIGIN POINT. DRK TRIAD is unsure of when cataclysmic event might occur. Our universe is collapsing on itself, causing events like the early arrival of the Litleonids and METENO 99943. DRK TRIAD made use of their Unown to stabilize The Cloud.

III. TERMINAL 3: The multiverse will contract once our universe meets its end. Universes next to ours will collide at the ORIGIN POINT.

IV. TERMINAL 3: Universes colliding means their end. No apparent chance of recovery.

Maldacena claimed his particular interest in Hoenn was his reason to give us this information. He then opened the path to three more terminals while another scan was completed. Significant data seems to have been lost by all those present. This scan worsened my condition considerably, yet I became aware of the Unown my own data and the space around me.

FERNANDO SILPH took hostile action against Cillian Quinn at this point. Due to my poor condition at the time, along with my being present as my known civilian persona, I was unable to properly intervene. Lulu Flint, Locke Jamison, Eris Halla, and two unknown trainers took action against Silph. MATIAS SILPH joined in on his brother's attack. Katherine Fairburne intervened as a neutral party, I believe this is due to the data she had lost at the time.

• 4.A. TERMINAL 4: PAST
  [break][break]
  I was among those who chose the forth terminal. It took us to a place that looked as if it were space. Chaos. A glowing staircase led us to a sigil composed by a number of circles. An unidentified pokémon appeared; large, ethereal, possibly composed of ylem. When it disappeared, Unown and four gigantic eggs were left behind. The Unown attacked our group.

  Once the riddle asking us to guess a pokémon based on an image (Magmar) was solved, the eggs hatched, revealing Giratina, what appeared to be Palkia and Dialga in forms that didn't quite match their usual iconography, and an skeletal purple pokémon I did not recognize.

  Due to the similarities with mythos and the Church of Arceus' gospel, I believe this to have been a depiction of the DRK TRIAD's understanding of the origin of the universe, with the first unidentified pokémon possibly being a form of ARCEUS.

  4.B. TERMINAL 5: PRESENT
  [break][break]
  Accounts from Rowan Wrynn and oscar clayton provided me with most of the information I have concerning Terminal 5. It would appear that they witnessed Hoenn region from the skies. There, DIALGA and PALKIA attacked the dome surrounding the region, apparently attempting to destroy it. Their attempts were thwarted by white and gold appendages. Unown attacked the group at Terminal 5.

  A similar riddle had to be answered by them (Answer: Donphan). Once this riddle was answered, those present witnessed what appeared to be other dimensions and ULTRA SPACE. Due to this, ULTRA SPACE is believed to be the layer between dimensions.

  4.C. TERMINAL 6: FUTURE
  [break][break]
  My understanding of the events that took place at Terminal 6 are mostly based on accounts given after the fact (such as by Johanna Joy). Terminal 6 depicted a Hoenn that appeared to be at the end of its days. Multiple legendary pokémon were dead; impaled by spears of light (notable among them: Xerneas, Kyogre, Groudon, Zekrom, Articuno, Yveltal, a Shadow Lugia, Ho-Oh, an Origin Forme Giratina, Reshiram, Darkrai, Tapu Bulu, Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, Suicune, Uxie, Mesprit, and what is believed to perhaps be some form of Hoopa). Those in Terminal 6 seem to have been attacked from the skies by an unknown source.

  Once the riddle was answered (Answer: Klefki) the scene disappeared. An explosion was heard at that moment. Likely the end of the universe.

5. EXITING THE CLOUD

Our data was transferred back to the main terminal. My condition became severe at this point. The pain became unbearable, and due to this my understanding of the events that took place before our exit from The Cloud are vague and mostly supported by Cillian Quinn's accounts.

At this point, Maldacena revealed to still be involved with the DRK TRIAD. He claimed ten of us would need to sacrifice themselves by being DELETED so that the rest of us could return to Hoenn. It is important to note that among our ranks, Remiel Calcifet, Rowan Wrynn, oscar clayton, Johanna Joy, Isaac Merlo, and Eris Halla were willing to make this sacrifice out of their own volition.

Several individuals attempted to suggest alternatives to listening to Maldacena's demands. An attack by Amor Rose caused a SYSTEM FAILURE. I believe this individual to be severely unstable.

The SYSTEM WAS RESTORED due to the Unown interfacing with me. All lost data was downloaded and returned to its rightful place.

6. RETURN

Once out of The Cloud, we found ourselves at the same beach in the MIRAGE ISLAND. No damage caused within The Cloud appears to have been permanent and no lives were lost.

I believe what occurred to me within The Cloud was due to an unexplained connection to THE UNOWN and THE UNOWN REPORT. As mentioned, I could feel and see the Unown within me and around me, and even after departing from The Cloud, there has been lasting effects to this interaction.

I appear to now be able to create inanimate objects at will. I'm unsure of the limitations of this ability at this point. Further testing is needed.

The TELEPORTATION ability I previously acquired when encountering the individual known as Father Winter (as mentioned in SITREP GRANITE) seems to still be functioning as expected.

On one of the screens atop of the adorned desk, a glossary was being displayed. There were almost a hundred and fifty terms; most of them scientific in nature, yet some referencing Pokémon species and locations both from this world and extradimensional. He knew them all without a need to look at them.

The Unown Report had not been updated.

He had no need to look at the screen to know that much to be true, nor at the Rotom phone it was synced with. Still, it confirmed what his mind had already been all too aware of: ever since the returned from The Cloud, the Unown Report had gone silent.

What did this mean?
[break][break]
Had the DRK TRIAD gotten what they desired out of them? Had they fulfilled the Unown Report’s true purpose? Had it finally been completed?
[break][break]
Or, were the Unown truly in control as he had suspected? Had they had their own purpose for it? Had it been fulfilled? Did it have to do with what they had done to him?

”It really would help if you would actually form sentences instead of just using all these random words, you know?” An eyebrow was quirked then, amber eyes fixing on the Unown-! that had stayed close to him ever since they met in a different dimension. In its dark gaze, Mars saw himself: tired in a way he never allowed the world to see him. The Unown saw, and through their eyes, Mars saw everything too. He still wasn’t quite used to it.

Anistar, the Unown-!, gave no response, but in his mind, the last entry added to the Unown Report before perpetual silence was whispered in passing:

A cellphone APPLICATION created by an organization referred to as "DRK TRIAD". Those with access to this application are able to the scan Unown into its database.

Each unique Unown scanned reveals a new entry corresponding to its form, these are generally scientific terms (alphabetical forms), the names of certain Pokémon species (question mark form), or locations (exclamation mark form). There are certain exceptions to this rule.

The Unown Report's true purpose remains UNKNOWN. Some of its entries have hinted at "anomalous events" before they occur (e.g., the spread of Pokérus-Y that occurred back in March 2022)

ACQUISITION
[break][break]

In August 2021 two restaurants by the names of Baristacats and Bone Appetit organized a COOK-OFF at Slateport Beach, recruiting the help of volunteers. Bone Appetit and the Slurpuff referred to as "Branes" were victorious. At the end of the event a few individuals received what was referred to as "mysterious devices", regardless of which establishment they may have supported. No explanations were given in regards to the devices or the reasons for their distribution.

These devices functioned similarly to Pokédexes, but when extracting the chip within them, those in their possession gained access to the Unown Report application.

The name of the owner of these establishments remains unknown. He was last seen in March 2022 at FLEUR TEA ATELIER, in company of the Slurpuff "Branes". He refused to answer any questions and acted as if he did not recognize even those who had previously encountered him at the restaurants.

Everything points to this individual being a member of the DRK TRIAD, despite lacking their characteristic silver hair.

KNOWN USES

Terminology present as "entries" in the Unown Report has been of use in various instances where the DRK TRIAD is known or suspected to have been directly involved. Including but likely not limited to:[break][break]

• Sealing the dimensional rifts that appeared at the MOSSDEEP SPACE CENTER'S STAR SOIRÉE. In order to do this, the Unown in possession of those with access to the Unown Report aligned themselves with wild Unown present at the time, spelling out certain entries.
• Unlocking the barrier (dimensional membrane) that blocked Team Rocket's access to the INTERIOR OF THE TREE OF LIFE during their expedition back in November 2021.
• Creating an UNOWN PORTAL back to this dimension from the universe existing within the Tree of Life.
• Answering the crossword created by the so-called FATHER WINTER. A suspected member of the DRK TRIAD who later invited those who gave the correct response to meet him in Granite Cave under the pretence of "fulfilling their wishes". All accounts speak of being sent to alternate dimensions and having to fight for their lives in order to return to this dimension.

Something CHANGED after I commanded the Unown to create the portal that brought us back from within the Tree of Life. The best way I can describe it is as if the whole Unown Report was etched into my mind.

I became able to perfectly remember every entry in it, even those revealed long after this event. I know which Unown is responsible for each entry. I can constantly see them in my head.
