Typically Summer didn't spend much time in the Rocket submarine. But she was in between work and a mission, and she needed something to eat before she passed out.

Why the fuck did they want to work her to death?

She sighed, grabbing the tray she had finished (picked over was really the word we should use) to get rid of what was left and place it away to be cleaned.

On her way back from dropping it off, she felt herself being bumped into (or did she bump into someone?).

Still, Summer was still going to be a bitch about it.

"Watch where you're going," she said with a face.

Armed with an encyclopaedia and numerous sticky notes, Eris keeps her head down as she wanders through the hallways, unwilling to meet the gaze of strangers even if they offer her passing greetings.

Despite their numbers and hurried footsteps, none of them are oblivious enough to bump into her. At least, not until she reaches this particular intersection, slamming straight into a moving wall of rigid poise.

"Sorry." Even if she's certain it isn't her fault, she still can't help the apology that slips from her lips. Her gaze flickers to her chaperone and they're already averting their gaze - A sign that she's ultimately still in charge of her own interactions with other Rocket members. With a roll of her shoulders, Eris sighs, dusting her clothes off before uneasily shifting the bracelet around her left wrist.

Summer was ready to push the kid away, dismiss her and get on with her schedule. But something caught her eye.

A charm.

Something similar to hers, except not quite the same.

Her red eyes narrowed, curiosity overtaking her instead of disgust at being touched by another being. Because she had yet to come into contact with someone with a similar thing as hers.

"What is... that?" Summer pointed out, trying to keep an obscure reaction.

THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS

ON THE SURFACE, nothing seems to happen. The charms refuse to budge, inert, a simple accessory at best.

Their lips remain sealed. Any push to mention MESPRIT will result in their nervous system slowly shutting down. Rather than words, their lunch will resurface before anything of substance comes forth.

But, should either pay particular attention to the other’s MYSTERIOUS CHARM, they will notice a letter embedded on its surface.

Coincidence? Or intentional?

Only time will tell.

Summer's charm, hidden away from view, is suddenly pulled from her pocket. She carried it with her always, but she had put it in her pocket while she was in the dining hall to save it from damage.

Now that someone had something she could see, she was willing to show hers.

Summer leaned closer to look at Eris's charm, her brows furrowed. "Can you... see mine?" she asked hesitantly.

"I see a letter. Were you-"

She couldn't even bring herself to mention the creature she saw in her garden that day. In fact, the thought of bringing it up made her sick to her stomach. Her face grew pale, and her hand rested on her stomach.

"I need to sit down."

"i told you i'll pay you back!" priam yells from another table. he chuckles, and fires off his finger guns. "yeah, i'll see you later!"

he gets off from a conversation from another part of the cafeteria and starts to walk towards the exit, not wanting to spend the entirety of his break in there, when he spots a collision from two other people. he'd go in and help, but the bystander effect takes place.

priam skirts around the edge, not wanting to disturb or anything. he needs to be back to the lab and help with Lulu Flint as soon as possible anyways, whatever crucial project she was working on.

despite wanting to ignore, eyes cannot help but watch the interaction. a glint catches his attention more than ever, keeping his eyes glued as he walked past.

the charms yields the spotlight for him to notice, and it ultimately does.

NOTHING HAPPENS. While Priam's keen eyes are able to spot the exchange between Summer and Eris, he spots nothing unusual. They seems to be comparing matching accessories, plain and unmarked. Perhaps the latest trend in fashion?

Summer and Eris however will continue to see their respective letter. How MYSTERIOUS...

seeing nothing of importance, priam's nosy side decides to eavesdrop for more context to learn more about his rocket friends. words that bewildered him were exchanged, seeing as they made no sense.

see what? priam can't see anything special. maybe it's a girls thing.

shrugging off the matter, he continues on his way. there's nothing left to be gained by staying and trying to piece together private lives other people in the sub have, but there's much more to be lost if he is not to return by the allotted time for a break.

priam leaves the scene, leaving the two other girls to talk about girl stuff and seeing things that can get them labeled as weird by people who overhears them.

Taking a deep breath does almost nothing to ease the swirling mess in her stomach, only invokes more anxiety from the thought of trying to explain.

Summer sat down, trying to catch her breath. She noticed someone approaching them, someone she hadn't met, seemingly curious. She wondered if he could see what they held.

But then he walked away, like nothing was happening.

It made the anxiety from the Mespirit grow worse, another wave of nausea hitting her as she thought about it. Why was it doing this? Why couldn't she talk about it to someone who could see it?

"Yes. I see the same letter."

She sighed, frustrated.

But before she can get carried away, Reiner nudges her, giving her a rather passive look that only means one thing. "Oh, when I say Mars, I mean like Martín del Mar! His office is really nice..."

Perhaps, not as nice as when she first stepped into it due to the strange happenings... She shoves the wave of nausea back down with a deep breath.

Summer didn't know that her friend had knowledge about the strange Pokemon she had seen. Though, every time she thought about bringing it up, it was like some sort of paralysis came over her.

So she couldn't exactly talk about it, not even to Eris.

It was vaguely comforting that she had someone she could go to, though. Who knew about the things she was seeing.

"Shall we go pay him a visit then? I wouldn't mind getting a few answers..."

"Cmon then! He's probably in his office being a grumpypants again!" She giggles, gently grabbing hold of Summer's hand and tugging her along. Even if the woman were to shrug her off at any point, Eris wouldn't do much other than frown a little then continue to walk by Reiner's side.

When they reach the North Wing and stand before a pristine metal door, Eris is first to knock on the door - A whimsical pattern that Mars would most likely be familiar with considering the number of times she's done it.
