Of course it’s the first code he looked up. She should have expected it, and when she hears it, it comes as no surprise.

‘Message received... And simultaneously given.’

He even winks at her, and in response, she sighs as if in disbelief.

But, a short chuckle follows it, and she leans in to kiss him.

”Dumbass.”

Said with utmost affection, obviously.

”Ten twenty-four.”

These are just the one she remembers off the top of her head, so luckily for him it’s nothing too complicated.

it's adorable how she sighs, how even all this time spent together, she's still disbelieved by his antics. it's almost as adorable as how she calls him dumbass, or how she leans in to kiss him.

he happily returns the kiss.

"uhhh that would be...assignment completed."

his confidence only grows. he reaches a hand up to caress against hers.

"come on, sol, give me a hard one."

It’s almost too easy to guess what he’ll say, how he’ll almost grin with confidence when realizing he’s correct, and while she could steal that away from him, while she could pressure him and make him sweat, she doesn’t.

She leans in instead.

Her hands move from his cheeks in order to gently wrap her arms around his neck, and the next words come as a whisper to his ear – too close, every syllable spoken slowly and carefully by her.

”Ten ninety-four.”

Not a particularly common one, but perhaps one that comes with a few memories.

it's definitely not a common one, but it's one that had stuck out to him if only because of the memories that come with it.

it makes him smile as he peers into her eyes. the answer comes slow, careful, and almost hushed.

In a way, isn’t that how it all had began? A stupidly dangerous mission, and the day he almost made her laugh. The day he made an impression on her, one that would definitely last…

She returns the kiss, staying close and not bothering with pulling away, because why would she pull away?

Meeting his gaze, she smirks then.

The fact that he pouts when she announces the end of their game comes as no surprise, but he should know well that things like those will only encourage her. Still, for now, Sol decides to let it be, instead simply looking into his eyes when he asks her for suggestions.

He should expect what comes next.

”You tell me.”

The words sound almost challenging, as if he shouldn’t even dare say the wrong thing. And of course, her smirk is still there.

Defiance.

He meets her challenge just as she hopes he will, and when the obvious answer is followed by a kiss, she doesn’t pull away, instead reciprocating – rougher, deeper.

A second or two, then she pulls away just enough to meet his gaze.

”Me? Hmm… Have you earned that, though?”

There’s a wicked playfulness to the way she grins.

Too easy. But, isn’t that exactly what she likes? The way she has no issue reading him, the way he’s so honest about what he wants, the way he’s always so stupidly greedy and always pushing for more… Even when it gets a little annoying and it’s more than she herself wants.

Is it that way now, though?

She looks him in the eyes, as if considering for a moment, even though they both already know what her answer will be.

”Figure it out.”

Unlike his, her words are not whispered, but she still grins.

His answer is begging.

At least it comes with kisses softly placed against her skin… or not so softly as he continues. She rolls her eyes about it, but the smile on her lips won’t fade away – a hand then moving to rest at his chest.

”Uri.”

This time, it’s whispered, and it comes in the middle of exhaling. Sol may always love playing hard to get and making him work for things, but in the end, she wouldn’t be right here if this wasn’t exactly what she wanted.

”...Okay.”

Just like that, she gives in.

the timer of the oven must've gone off sometime during because by the time he walks back over to the kitchen only slightly more tired, their lasagna is all ready for them to consume.

he pulls the oven door open, slips a pikachu-themed oven mitt on, and pulls out their lasagna before carrying it all the way over to the dinner table.
