Her eyes roll when seeing the way he catches the gummy bear in his mouth, but she still gently squeezes his hand when he reaches for hers, staring at him and at the way he pouts with his question.

”I might, if you’re good. Kachow is nicer and softer, though.”

She’s obviously teasing him, yet the smile that illuminates her expression when seeing the Luxray is both honest and real, and it’s soon that she’s reaching down to wrap her arms around its mane, kissing its forehead.

”Yeah? I missed him too... Hi, Kachow.”

Surely Uri knows better than to be jealous of his own pokémon, right?

While hugging Kachow, Sol watches the way he sighs and heads over to the kitchen, her gaze staying on him until he reaches the couch. Then, she turns back to the Luxray, allowing herself a couple of seconds to scratch its neck through the soft fur of its mane before she gets up.

”Come on, Kachow.”

Despite what she said before, she does sit next to Uri – right by his side, in fact.

”We can watch whatever you want.”

It doesn’t take a lot to make Uri happy, and honestly, that’s a good thing, because Sol has never been good at things like grand gestures. She’s better with this: simply sitting next to him and leaning in a little closer when he does as well…

”Action movie? I never would have guessed.”

She smirks, because it’s not as if she really minds it.

And of course, even though she’s next to Uri, she still reaches to pet Kachow, because how could she not?

Just a little bit of favouritism, maybe.

”A romcom?”

Sol has never been one to sit and watch movies often, and whenever she does watch movies, romcoms are far from her personal choice. It’s not that she particularly dislikes them, but that she has never cared much for them, even though it all does seem a little bit silly to her…

Relationships are not like what they are in romcoms.

So, when the question comes, she just looks at him, a hand continuing to idly pet the Luxray that sleeps next to her.

”Hmm… Not particularly? I guess I haven’t watched a lot of them… What movie would you say is a romcom?”

It’s an honest question, because Sol has always been far from a romantic person – as is probably obvious.

Does it really matter if she has seen those movies or not?

Not to Sol, but apparently Uri cares enough to stop watching the movie he chose and turn to look at her. If she hasn’t seen them it just means they can do so together, right?

Sol considers for a moment, actually trying to remember…

”Hmm… I think I watched Enchanted once? That’s the princess one, right? I used to love princess movies as a kid – don’t make fun of me or I’ll punch you.”

She chuckles at this, giving him a smirk.

”Cute? How so?”

Sol doesn’t particularly mind talking about the silly things she did as a kid, but in her own opinion, there’s nothing cute about it. It’s dumb and immature, and there’s nothing she likes about princesses anymore…

But, of course Uri pinches her cheek.

So much for not making fun of her.

In response, she rolls her eyes, and reaching for him as if to cup his cheek, she smacks it instead – gently, for the most part.

”Stop. But yes, we can watch it.”

‘Sitting around and waiting for prince charming’ definitely doesn’t fit someone like Sol, but that was never what she liked about princesses to begin with. That was always the part she found boring when watching all those movies. The real reason why she liked them should be obvious to Uri, yet she still points it out for him:

”They had cute dresses and pretty hair, okay? You can’t blame me for liking girly things, especially as a kid.”

She says this with a sigh, but there’s the ever so slight and rare blush of embarrassment on her cheeks when saying this. It’s true, though: Sol has always liked “girly” things.

Turning to the TV, she leans against him, resting her head on his shoulder.

”I barely even remember what happens in this movie…”
