the melody which played throughout petalburg echoed in the breath of wind. a harmonic note crying for all to look on. a crowd slowly gathered to watch the white-haired individual, donned in a school uniform, play for all to hear. be they man, women, children, or pokemon. there was not a single that had gone unnoticed within his sight.

soft, cerulean orbs locked onto the crowd. only to, once more, become hidden by his eyelids as he, himself, would fall into a trance that played from his violin. little did the violinist know that, when he was to peer into the crowd once more, would there be a specific specimen to capture his very own gaze.

[attr="class","hanatext"]She hovers like a moth drawn to a flame, entranced by the soft humming of strings as they craft a story lesser known. How long has it been since she's caressed the polished surfaces of an instrument? Though her adventures have surely hardened her heart and bruised her hands, she will never forget the sensation of cold metal pressed against her fingertips.

It sings to her of a brighter childhood, one where she'd be oblivious to the duties she would inherit as the years began to set in. And oh, how easy it is to fall back into a stance, her eyes closed as her hands begin to move - The quiet bowing, the placement of her fingers upon those non-existent strings. Each note he plays resonates with her humming, her movements almost mimicking his every own as she dips her bow and meticulously decorates each vibrato.

It's his stage but it's her show all the same, contained in his shadow as she creates a unique reflection of his chosen piece - Each stage of grief beautifully dissected and laid down before her feet, she begins to remember how much she misses it.

Pity that she isn't simply able to get it back.

it was like looking into a mirror. the female youth caressed the air gently as if she were holding an instrument. she mimicked his movement from head to toe, almost as if she were performing MIRROR MOVE like a pokemon.

it made him smile, to know that there were so many listening. it made him smile, to know that there were so many who could hear his playing. it made him smile, to know that his song brought so many to see him. the loneliness he felt before he started to play had no longer been there. all he could feel was warmth.

as the piece would come to an end. it was time to say goodbye. with one final chord eric would take a bow. a beaming, bashful grin would be thrown toward the crowd. "thank you all for listening, hehe!" the youthful student would massage the nape of his neck from sheer embarrassment. as the crowd began to disperse, he'd come to look toward the female he'd seen earlier.

with a exuberant expression donned on him, eric couldn't help himself but go over and say hi. once his instrument was placed back into the proper case, eric would head over. "hey, hey!" the energetic youth would greet her. "what did you think of my playing, not too shabby huh-huh!?" with rose-colored cheeks, he'd extend his hand to the female.

"i'm eric, eric moon! let's be friends!" he merrily suggested.

[attr="class","hanatext"]She wonders if she remembers how it feels to stand upon a stage - The cold atmosphere, the tension in her limbs and the gentle warble of the first few notes. Does she miss standing before a crowd? Looking down upon the audience as they waltz the night away or speak of grand schemes? The dresses upon her had felt so heavy but she could never protest, not when she knew she had to play the part of a trophy to their name.

Memories consume her like an ocean, pulling her down into the depths and leaving no trace of her consciousness. That's probably why she finds herself snuck upon, jumping a little when an energetic voice tears into her headspace. And it takes her a moment to adjust to reality, blinking as she quietly pulls away from the boy.

"It was..." She pauses to search for a word. "... pleasant."

Her black-fleeced Wooloo bleats at her response, gently kicking Lilith's calves before offering the stranger a cheerful hop and call. Of course, the girl never quite chooses to acknowledge her poor choice of words, instead choosing to take his hand if only out of politeness.

"Lilith..." Her grip is loose and carries a hint of hesitance. "That's Rubia... Nice to meet you, I guess...?"

"score, new friend!"

he could check off another point. "hey-hey, lil!" he called the girl by a nickname. "wanna grab a bite to eat?" that's what friends did, right? yeah, right! "my treat!" it was then he'd take notice of the pokemon beside her. starry-eyed, "a pokemon!"

eric would kneel to the wooloo's level. "how about friend? my treat, if lilith is up for! what do you say, lil? just tell me what you're hungry for and it'll be my treat!" eric would look to the reserved female. standing, he would add, "i'll even let you meet my pokemon!"

While she's dragging her feet and wading in knee-deep thoughts, he's pulling her along without much regards for the barriers that still remain between them. Just as she considers making up some sort of excuse to leave, Rubia tugs at her socks, bleating wildly as she points to the boy with her free hoof.

"I... Are you sure, Rubia?"

Getting close to someone else seems like far too much trouble. Going as far as to accept an invitation to grab a snack is something that she never would have done in the past.

"Sure... we can go grab a bite, I guess... I've no preferences though." Yet, Lilith listens to the Wooloo and recognises her stubbornness arising, sighing as she sweeps her up into her arms. "What pokemon do you have anyways...?"
