All that time in that bed alone with his thoughts was driving him crazy. Something simple like collecting honey wouldn't upset his injuries. He hoped. [break][break]

Stopping for a second as the buzzing of the Combee grew louder, he glanced around at the fenced-off section of the woods. Someone else was supposed to be helping him, but he'd lost track of them. Hopefully, they weren't doing anything to agitate the bees. [break][break]

Fighting an angry Vespiqueen did not sound fun right now.

Was she agitating the bees? Well, Megan certainly did not think so. In fact, she very much found that calling her Hydreigon out after a Combee almost stung her was a rational and at least somewhat level-headed response. At least as far as situations like this went.
And besides, she had only done her job to begin with. Collecting honey was why she was here. The Combees for the most part left them to it, which indicated that it was okay. But apparently, her abysmal luck had arranged for her to run into the one Combee that had an issue with it – it had a different colouration too, but she’d most ignored that – and then had to scare that one off.

Which, honestly did not seem like too big of a deal for the girl already back at working hard. This was a job she’d taken, so she gave it her all, as per usual, regardless of circumstance. Hydreigon remained outside and running the perimeter around his not exactly protectively geared trainer.[break]
And, honestly, it did intimidate the Combees. Yet, the one that fled after the brief altercation had not gotten discouraged from that. At least not completely. Instead, it had gone back towards the hive and rallied at least some of its brethren. The buzzing, whizzing mob then set out to expel the humans – though, incidentally, they ended up being closer to a certain other human just trying to do his work…
