standing, shoulder to the wall, greyson watched with mild amusement at the sequence of events. the blond had charisma, certainly, pulling the crowd's entire attention to rest on him with genuine ease. horseback riding and spelunking, huh? when he once again asks for volunteers, a sea of hands raise, but when he looks back towards the stage, the other man's attention had fallen on him.

“Mr. Greyson Connors!!!” the young girl shouted, echoing the other trainer. “With…A Buneary!” she can’t help but squeal in delight at the sight of the little normal type. Chuchi is intrigued but shakes herself out and waits at the ready. Andres isn’t sure if she can move right with all that weight on her, but she didn’t seem deterred. “Well, hopefully you can learn something. Usually, I’m coaching from the sidelines.” He said. With that, Chuchi takes off in a sprint towards her challenger starting off strong, and beginning her hunt. It kind of puts off what he’d wanted at first off, the table. But he can still roll with this. “Move in with Double Edge! Try not to eat in this time!” He called out. Chuchi let out a growl to denote she hadn’t appreciated his commentary. [break][break]

She missed her quarry, tumbling over herself twice before plopping back up to her feet just in time to see the Buneary jump up. If she was hurt, she didn’t show it, merely shaking her broad body before waiting orders as Jess came sailing back down. “Intercept and ground her Chuchi!” Andres ordered as Chuchi let the Buneary in closer before jumping upwards ready to tank the attack. As she did she attempted to Bite the bunny, slamming back down onto the ground from Bounce’s force but clamping her teeth on her opponent. Trembling from impact, Chuchi would then yeet the Buneary if she could, trying to get back on her feet and ready for her next command. [break][break]

meeting the bunny in mid-air was a risky move. the force of her kick, as well as the impact of their landing, sending shockwaves through the chubby eevee. but, with grit and determination, it held on. it didn't need to put much effort into the toss - jess wanted to get out of there just as much.

separated once more, she nurses the bite mark on her paw, tentatively touching it to the ground with a hiss. it wouldn't be enough, though. jess hits the ground running, a QUICK ATTACK to break the distance and land a quick jab on those chubby cheeks.

“Copycat, Chuchi!” Maybe he should bring out Chuchi more on his morning runs, he thought as she flailed her paws in the air before rolling on her side to stand and face the Buneary. It’s not a fast enough though as the rabbit pokemon was already zipping her way towards the Eevee. She landed her hit, Chuchi’s side jiggling from impact. There’s a soft glow at the tip of Chuchi’s nose before it spread down to her feet and in an instant Chuchi is moving in on her opponent with the same Quick Attack from just moments ago. “You are rusty, huh?” the blonde called out to his partner who snarled at him in irritation before setting sights back on their opponents. the rotund eevee, empowered by its COPYCAT, crosses the distance between the two with surprising speed. "quick, BOUNCE!" it takes a leap back, watching the sprinting fox, before it jumps into the air effectively avoiding the attack.

"now bring it down!" this time, jess leads with her other foot. this damned crazy eevee wasn't going to cripple her.

Chuchi, unable to hit her target skid to a stop. She just barely kept herself form flipping forward from the momentum before turning to look up at the Buneary. A bit disoriented, the Eevee managed to look up just in time to catch the rabbit pokemon slamming into her face and knocking her back even further. “Pick yourself back up and use Double Edge!” Andres called out.

The normal type shook her head, sneezing a bit form the dirt that had gotten on her face before her eyes locked onto Jess and she took off like a shot. Like a full body haymaker, Chuchi launched herself at the Buneary.

if buneary and it's line were not predominantly leg fighters, the kick would've done a lot more damage. the eevee was built different - like, really chubby 'different'. even now, as she successfully lands a strike, the stinging pain in her paw pulls her attention downwards.

it's enough for the chubby fox demon to recover, and with a grunt and slight brace, the DOUBLE EDGE lands and sends them both sprawling. scrambling to her feet, she gives her opponent a mocking 'come hither' motion, a simple AFTER YOU beckoning the chubby fox.

Chuchi, already a competitive fighter, sees RED when AFTER YOU hits. The Eevee didn't even hesitate moving before Andres can give her a command. She launched herself at the Buneary, unhinging her jaw for a BITE attack, aiming for the ears. The glint in her eyes indicated she was absolutely about to rag doll the bunny if given the chance.
