Her hand slips easily into his, as though it belongs there. What a fanciful idea— ridiculous, though she allows herself this small indulgence anyways.[break][break] "Mmn, good idea! I guess I'll take the lead."[break][break]

At first the Wooloo seem confused, upset to see their new friend go so soon. But Luka manages to coax them into following her and is soon leading a fluffy procession towards the barn, her soft baas a piper's beckoning tune.

Luka brushes her hands off on her overalls as well, and delicately picks a stray piece of straw from her braid. She frowns down at it before tossing it away, and hopes the rest of her isn't in such a state.[break][break]

"Plans? Mm, not really," she says, brushing a stray lock of hair behind her ear. "Though being at a farm like, this...for some reason, I want some milk." She laughs and shrugs. "Maybe later. What about you?"

his lips curl into a smile as she reaches for his hand. he holds hers, then starts walking back towards the entrance of the farm where he remembers seeing a stand selling glass bottles of milk.

and sure enough, he finds it with ease.

She pouts a little, because she had wanted to treat him. She'll have to get it next time, if there is a next time. Luka glances over at Niko again, and quickly decides that she would very much like that.[break][break]

The bottle is cool in her hands and she taps a pastel fingernail absently against the glass. "Thank you," she says, with a gratitude that seems more appropriate to a far grander gesture. The two of them wander off to find a place to enjoy the treat and find a spot a bit off the beaten path, underneath the shade of a large willow tree.[break][break]

"Ahhh- fresh milk is the best, don't you think?" Creamy and rich, and somehow a little sweet. Luka does her best to take small sips and not just gulp it down. Her lips are wet, and a drop clings to the corner of her mouth.

[attr="class","niko i"]it's not his usual drink of choice, but it certainly is refreshing. he nods his head, agreeing as he takes a rather large sip that leaves his lips wet as well. his tongue swipes over, licking whatever stray drops remain.

"it really is! so refreshing."

he caps his bottle, then turns over to look at her.

"you, uh..."

after a quick gesture towards the corner of her mouth, he realizes it's probably futile. or maybe not. either way, it's the perfect excuse for him to lean a little bit closer as he reaches a thumb to wipe off the drop of milk.

This feels like a dance. One-two-step: soft laughter, lingering glances, a touch held a moment too long. The steps are familiar but Luka, as always, hesitates, unable to make the next move.[break][break]

Chalk it up to shyness or perhaps a simple insecurity. One might think she just likes being chased, but truth be told she often never realizes that she's prey.[break][break]

"Ah...thanks," she says yet again. Just as before her eyes are wide and innocent and curious, and her skin is warm and receptive to lingering touch. Her fingertips tap even faster against the milk bottle, a musical click the matches the thrumming of her heart.[break][break]

"Your, um. Your hands are warm..."

For a moment she's completely still, and even her heart stutters to a halt. And then there's a rush of feeling to her face— warmth in her cheeks, warmth pressed against her lips. Hers are soft and gentle, and they taste like strawberries and cream.[break][break]
