The man’s mouth gapped open, the yawn taking over as hand quickly rose to cover it. It has been a while sense he went out dark type hunting at night. Warm crimson colored orbs flickered over the outskirts of slateport city. Despite the full moon that casted light over the area, it still felt oddly dark and strange. Maverick couldn’t help the feeling as though he was being watched. Even his beloved canine Azula, seemed to be on edge. A low growl rattled in her chest, nostrils flared intensely as she tried to find the source.

If it wasn’t for the pack, Maverick would feel rather unease at this time. Luckily for him, the man had four other hell hounds with him and more in his pocket. Still, the feeling like they were being watched and maybe even followed couldn’t be shacked. He was tempted to sent on of them off to find it, but decided it wasn’t a good idea. He luck, one of them would find another trainer and scare them. The man could only let out a grunt, moving through the outskirts on high alert.

Something rusted in a near by garbage bin, catching the attention of all the canine’s and the human. Warm gaze darted to the bin, wondering if that was what was causing him feel different. The canine let out growls and snarls, creeping towards the bin. In his mind, he pictured a Greedent with food stuffed in its cheek pouches. But as the canine approached the bin, a wild trubbish popped up. It stared at the canine, eyes widened at being caught. Maverick however, only rolled his eyes.

Hand rose to his lips, pinching his bottom lip to let loose a whistle. This got the canine’s attention, all set of eyes on the human. “Come on,” he hollered, waving for them to follow, “Leave it. Let’s go this way.” The houndoom’s turned, running towards their master. And as the man turned to leave, he swore he saw a bead of relief sweat run down the side of its face.

A howl rang out, drawling Maverick’s attention away from his thoughts. Warm gaze shifted, spotting his small pack harassing a little poison type pokemon. It’s eyes widen with fear, body trembled harshly. The human male eyed the creature, debating if he wanted it for not. But honestly, he already had an evolved one and didn’t see much worth. Grunting, the man whistled them. “Leave the thing alone,” he growled, waving for the canine pack to follow him, “We need to head home soon. Come on.”

There was something about dark types that was so nostalgia to him. He was his first love in some ways, Kimba the houndour being his first ever pokemon starter. His love for dark types started with her. And even now as a scrafty wondered onto the path, the trainer couldn’t help but want it despite not really needing it. The pack growled, all bracing for the command to attack.

Maverick gave them a nod. That’s all it took for the pack to advance. The canine’s circled the wild pokemon, teasing the poor fighting and dark type as it tried to attack them. Of course, the rest of the pack had their turn with IRON TAIL, BEAT UP, and a nice solid THUNDER FANG. It was Azula who had took the finishing blow, flames erupted from her muzzle in a FLAMETHROWER to burn the creature. It effectively knocked the creature out cold before it could even think an escape route. Once down, the trainer tossed an empty ball to capture it.
