"your persistence was hard to ignore, to be quite frank!" dahlia laughs.

and the promise of free food certainly made it easier to accept. despite her station, the commissioner's diet occasionally dips into convnience rather than quality. stress frees the fingers for takeout orders rather than mise en place.

as they near the restaurant, the commissioner tucks her blonde curl behind her ear. "we should be the ones to spoil you, mr. cobalt. you're a guest to our region after all." she says, peering at the realgam president with bright blue eyes.

"no bother. it's admirable. too many too often give up way too quickly."

dahlia is quick to slip inside. her heels strike the restaurant floor as she takes a survey of her surroundings. a fancy establishment; one that is already prepared to receive both her and cobalt with swelled service.

she turns to quincy, "do you own this restaurant too?"

dahlia asks for a water too. no ice. the cold grates against her teeth. reminds her of unfeeling seas and white stones.

"if i remember correctly, battle facilities, yes?" dahlia speaks louder, voice more colourful in a frequency guarded by privacy. "our champion is interested in such things, but not in the way you are... perhaps. more fun than business. correct me if i'm wrong."

she remains proper in posture, performing her part until she feels ready to let down her guard.
