Lips pursed into a tight circle, the teen let out an impressed whistle. The place looked better than he had thought. All there was left to do was not get caught. His pointed gaze swept the rugged dirt clearing, going from left to right, then back to left. "Perfect. Let's get to work, everyone!"

The solid clasp of his gloved hands was all it took for his three Pokémon to spring to life. Trembling, excitement rattled their bones and glee painted their faces. This scrap yard was about to be demolished.

was a scrap yard the best place to hide out? no, absolutely not; but luck was sure it'd be the last place anyone would look for a runaway rich kid. at least, that's what she had thought, until a new voice had floated his way not long after he had tried to settle down in a cramped place, pokemon nearby.

it hadn't worked; mostly because it was uncomfortable and she knew she couldn't get anything resembling rest like that, and also because of the new arrival in question. so, with a snap of her fingers and a half-hissed "get over here," to her new pokemon, she had wandered to confront the stranger. hopefully her pokemon would be intimidating enough to get them to leave.

"what the fuck?" it's a valid question, luck thinks; because this is a kid. brushing aside any thoughts of violence, she tries to relax. "what are you doing here?"

One by one, the trio of Pokémon went to work on the supposedly empty scrap yard, scavenging for anything that looked important enough to show Finn. As the head behind this operation, the trainer would try to work alongside his Pokémon that became increasingly difficult as the other Pokémon would constantly yip and hoot for his attention, looking for approval on their findings.

Operations, however, were quick to come to a halt as the sudden emergence of an unknown figure made itself known. "Ah, shit." He cursed under his breath. Getting caught scavenging would suck major balls, and losing out on all his stuff would also suck ass-- a complete lose-lose situation.

These worried thoughts were quick to subside as his bright orange eyes met hers. Definitely not a cop. "I dunno," The teen responded, his eyes still shielded behind a large pair of goggles, "what are you doing here?" It was a shitty answer, and he knew that, but thoughts of getting thrown out without his scrap prevented him from saying much else.

As they spoke, Blaze lifted one of the larger pieces of discarded metal to reveal a trembling shinx curled up into the group. The other two pokemon were quick to come surround the small thing, as they were brimming with curiosity and sheer excitement. Zap was the first to speak, barking out a friendly greeting. Then it was pea, who hooted a hello and offered a small berry he found earlier. No matter what happened, these three were not letting this shinx leave without becoming their friend.

this kid didn't seem very intimidated by her, or her pokemon. which, honestly, luck couldn't blame; he probably looked like a mess, with some dirty hoodie and the fact that he looks fucking exhausted, at the very least. but her annoyance was clear at the answer, frown deepening at the obvious deflection. he hated teenagers, he decided at that very moment. had he only really met this one? yes, but it was enough for him.

"i asked first." he almost adds a scathing 'kid' to the end of it, but he's fucking tired, and he doesn't want to spend his time arguing with some kid. at their question, she shrugs. "dunno." because she's not about to tell the truth, not to some teen she doesn't know.

a horrible, metallic screech brings her attention away from Finley Black and to her pokemon. her pokemon, who, apparently, have gotten too close to a skarmory's nest and now are under attack. "fuck." she knows she should keep what pokeballs she does have in hand in case she needs them, but she can't think of anything else to do. so, reluctantly, she pulls out a pokeball and tosses it at the offending bastard (skarmory).
