noah’s gym will be in good hands at least. on second thought, that may be entirely wrong, for an institution that prides itself around the core tenant of active living should not be run by a lazy man. lopez lazy. a tier above simple lazy.

as noah’s legs are hoisted up again, the gym leader murmurs a request. it’s faint- but the syllables are lost in the crack of the screen door sliding shut. they pass by the kitchen where their mushrooms will be left, presumably, before noah asks again:

”kyle, there’s one last chance to save me, man…” noah says, losing life by the second. ”a cure… you can save me by giving me one big kiss.”

noah is already puckering his lips.

the plastic bag full of mushrooms was dropped by the kitchen counter by the door. the rustling of its landing and the screen door banging against the frame did little to deafen noah's murmurs.

as they reach the kitchen, he carries noah to the kitchen aisle, which has already been cleared after breakfast. he situates him in a sitting position before obliging with the request.

a finger traces his ear before kyle's hand holds noah's side of the face. a gentle smile later and a tug that brings noah closer to his face later, kyle closes his eyes and he plants a kiss on noah's lips.

there's a heavy breath that follows. exhilaration gets him hot, but it doesn't stop kyle from making fun of noah.

"we good now?"

noah is hoisted onto the operating table of their kitchen. but, with the bag relinquished, the gym leader's stomach relaxes. the feigned pain mellows away with the kiss— and although, noah's lips had been in the habit of exaggeration and toying, what kyle brings to the table is sensual. surprising. welcome.

the shift sketches lightning bolts into noah's ribs with their parting breaths. he's seduced by the initiative as he remains propped on the counter, legs hanging from the edge.

"i don't think so." noah pinches a peak of t-shirt from the middle of kyle's chest before pulling the man back to him.

he reciprocates, fully, by pressing a golden ecruteak warmth against kyle's lips.

he chuckles, and then gives in. the law of supply and demand must be met somehow as he holds the kiss longer this time, sweet and memorable as every other instance were.

the sensation was euphoric, and kyle knows both of them are experiencing the same sense of longing after being buried with league-related workload. still, he needs to pull out of the kiss, the same sheepish smile along with shifting eye contact telling noah everything kyle was experiencing.

"i-i do still need to give you pills before your stomach gets upset."

he turns around, leaving noah for a bit, as he searches for the pills needed to ease whatever problem needs to be fixed. kyle needs a break, even for a moment, just to take care of the redness filling in his cheeks.

"don't want it to get in the way of what's coming next, yeah?"

noah fidgets this way and that. shaking his head, his blue hairs cascade defiantly against kyle’s mode of responsibility. he swears he’s fine. swears it’s feigned.

then again, his stomach does feel a twinge awkward digesting something so dense.

”i’ve got an iron stomach, c’mon.” noah pleas. ”but… if me taking the pills means we’ll be fast forwarding?”

he looks at kyle, eyes big and knowing while one hand remains pressed against the other’s shirt.

”then fine.”

kyle's eye shift from side to side with a certain smirk on his expression when he confronts noah about his question.

a lot of words don't need to be said, bringing in the fun of a guessing game in an otherwise normal domestic conversation between the two of them. obvious underlying premises were obvious with the mood and the direction of their brief, but direct, interaction.

"just sit there for a bit. we can do whatever you want afterwards."

he takes noah's hand and plants a kiss on its back before placing it just below noah's abdominal area. something needs to keep him company for the precious few seconds that the impatient gym leader would wait for.

kyle goes to search for stomach ache medicine, all too giddy, if not more, as noah was.

when kyle leaves, the kitchen shrivels into dull silence. save for the occasional bark of a mightyena in the distance, noah can only hear the thudding beat against his chest. it travels, replacing his adam’s apple which he swallows back down.

he shifts on the kitchen island. plants himself more firmly so that the gym leader can pull his shirt over his head. the sleeves are stubborn, rolling into circlets of tightening fabric as he tugs them off his thick arms.

by the time kyle returns, noah finds himself caught in the last segment of shirt, head masked and blinded by a veil of polyester and torso embarrassingly exposed.

the red on his face he tries to nurse away just grows brighter with the scene he comes back to. he remains frozen for a few moments as he fumbles his words, unable to say anything coherent at the sight that lowkey gets him excited.

then again, he's more of a man of action than the other way around.

he stomps straight to where his boyfriend, pill still clenched on one hand, as he helps him out of his situation. he chuckles, and then hands over the medication on his palm to noah.

"whatever you're trying, i'm all for it," he teases as he takes a glass and fills it with water before handing it to noah.

kyle waits for noah to take it before mirroring the action he has tried to do. kyle's action was more fluid however, snagging on nothing else, though it takes suspiciously longer than normal.

he's just lax though. no need to rush things.
