From the docks of Canalave City, shipping vessels often departed discreetly in the middle of the night, bound for ports in just about every region – Hoenn included. Yet, it was not the great Slateport where their mysterious cargo would arrive, instead favouring a small and well-hidden pier near Petalburg besides which rested what looked like no more than a simple fishing shack. What mattered was not the shack, of course, but what laid beneath.

”Their facilities are underground. There’s an access point here and an access point in the middle of the woods. Cargo arrives here and then it’s distributed to contacts in both Petalburg and Rustboro through Route 104.”

From behind binoculars, standing near the bow of a boat that remains hidden thanks to the illusions of a purple-maned Zoroark, Mars watches the guard that sits by the fishing shack as if he were no more than a lazy fisherman. He knows this place well, just as he knows how it operates, but whatever he may think about it remains hidden – his demeanor as calm and serious as it would be during most missions.

”If they’re alerted of an attack at one access point, they will escape with their most valuable items through the other. We could attack both flanks at the same time, but there’s tunnels meant for emergencies. Our best bet would be to sneak in with the incoming cargo.”

The binoculars are pulled down and he turns to look at the man beside him, his words having been almost drowned out by the sound of a much larger ship arriving.

Bryan had been laying back, listening to Martin give him the details about this operation. He had a lot of insider knowledge on these people huh? He wondered why. [break][break]

He was not paid to wonder though, he was paid to fuck people up and break into places he shouldn't be. "We're going in quiet huh? Not my preferred style but it is one I'm good at." he says finally speaking up and standing up. His face wearng a new mask, one that was all black and in the shape of just a wolf. [break][break]

All that had remained was the wolf, the lamb was killed. Bryan pulled out his pistol and made sure it was loaded, even checking his spare clips just in case. "We catching that bus?" he said looking over towards the ship that was pulling into their point of interest. Bryan did have an idea how to mask themselves further even if they had a zoroark hiding them.

So many people in Team Rocket seem to be of the idea that the best way to do things is by force – hit them hard, overwhelm them with power – when really, sometimes a more subtle approach is what’s required. Especially in a situation like this; one where he knows exactly what they’re dealing with. Or, one where he thinks he knows, at least, since leave it to Mars to act ever too confident about things.

At Bryan’s question, there’s a slight smirk from behind a mask that’s certainly much simpler and less memorable than the Beast’s wolf one. What had happened to the lamb half? Probably gone. Probably no longer a fitting thing to wear after everything he has done to gain his new title in the criminal organization. Rocket is no place for lambs.

The other ship is much larger than their little boat, but small enough not to be suspicious. There’s boxes all over the deck, and a couple of crewmembers. Teleporting would probably be too risky if they didn't wish to be caught, but it could be done if they really wanted to go with that route.

"Don't need to." he replied as he released his answer to their problems. His alolan Ninetails emerged from her pokaball, looking over loftily at Bryan and he nodded towards her. [break][break]

Her snow warning ability activated creating a small hailstorm in their area and on top of that also giving them extra cover due to her snow cloak ability also triggering as a mist leaks out from her body obscuring the vision of everyone. "Alright girl. Let's go." he said getting onto his Alolan ninetails. He gave Martin a small wink from underneath he mask "Can ya keep up Mr. admin?" he teased as she leapt up, trying o land quietly as to not alert the crew of their presence.[break][break]

Hopefully due to the time of year and the strange phenomenon's occurring in hoenn, they'd believe it could snow right now.

An icy chill spreads all around then when the Alolan Ninetales stands upon the boat, her SNOW WARNING summoning a hailstorm not unlike the strange weather patterns that have been occurring all over Hoenn this winter. A risky choice, but Mars does no more than watch as Bryan hops onto the pokémon – an eyebrow quirked in response to teasing words. ”See you there.”

It’s just as he says these that the Ninetales leaps away, its wispy tails flowing beautifully amongst the snow.
[break][break]
Thankfully for them, the men aboard the other vessel are from Sinnoh and used to this sort of weather, but encountering hail in a place like the shores of Petalburg proves to be enough of a distraction for a couple of crew members to turn their attention away from their cargo.
[break][break]
Mars takes his chance, glancing at his Zoroark just as he brings out another pokéball. ”Keep the boat hidden. We might need it later.” The pokémon wags its tail in acknowledgement, but the Admin’s attention has already turned towards another: this time, a Gallade.
[break][break]
”Teleport us next to that big box over there. Away from the crew.”
[break][break]
The action is done in the blink of an eye. And, the content of the box? Well, apparently it’s a slumbering Gyarados, it’s body marked by the red scales of its shiny colouration.
[break][break]
”Wanna get in there with it?” The question is asked as no more than a whisper once they meet up, inevitably smirking. Although, of course Bryan would not be able to see this.

Bryan's alolan Ninetails managed to land gracefully on the boat and surprisingly without a sound. Any sound that would have been made was covered up by the sound of hail and snow bonking into the metal of the ship. Martin surprisingly manages to also keep up with him with his own pokemon. [break][break]

Huh so he wasn't as wet behind the ears as Bryan thought. Then again, he didn't get that position for no reason now did he? [break][break]

"No thanks, if anything we should let the bastard eat the people who took him." he says with a malicious smirk painting his face. "To really catch a gyrados like this? Are they stupid? If it woke up it'd tear this ship in half with no problem." he says wondering if he should let it rampage. He would've if it didn't mean that they'd get caught. For now he'd simply await for his orders as he looked for a way to take out the crew silently.

If it weren’t for the fact that they’re supposed to keep quiet in order not to get caught themselves, Mars would laugh at Bryan’s remark, to the point that he even allows himself a quiet snicker. He knows there’s many reasons why the Gyarados is being kept sedated and out of a pokéball – starting by the fact that it had probably belonged to someone and been stolen from them – but Bryan is right: it is a stupid choice. One they may even be able to use to their advantage in this situation…

”That’s true. If we could wake it, we could release it once the elevator reaches their hideout.”

The smirk at his lips mirrors the maliciousness of that of his companion, but what elevator is he even talking about?

That question is answered as soon as the cargo begins to be unloaded from the ship, for the fishing shack is obviously no mere fishing shack, and something akin to a freight elevator rests within.

Calling back his pokémon, Mars looks at Bryan then, signalling to stay quiet and out of sight so they can sneak into the underground facility.

Unnoticed. For now, at least.

But, how to wake a sedated Gyarados?

So he wanted mars to wake up the gyrados huh? It would be a useful distraction for this mission and he had just the perfect pokemon for it. [break][break

"Alright number 2. Go, aromatherapy." he said releasing from his pokemon a cutiefly who let out a small quiet cheer as it buzzed into Gyrados's cage. It was then that he started to release a pink cloud from it's body and waking gyrados up from his drug induced sleep thanks to the move's restorative properties. [break][break]

The gyrados slowly began to stir from his rest and found the restraints on his body as he began to thrash around and Cutiefly came in with his sharp nose mouth thing idk im trying my best azul. [break][break]

And began to cut the restraints and released the gyrados from within the cage to begin it's rampage. The guards began to notice it and rushed towards gyrados to attempt to calm the situation. "Seems like it worked. I'm going ahead." he said as he slinked off and called back his ninetails and cutiefly rushed over back to Bryan's side as he dashed deeper into the compound.

It’s almost funny how a move he often used to relax after a long day could also be used to bring forth a less than relaxing outcome.

As the Gyarados’ cage is moved, the pokémon too begins to stir within, soon thrashing and roaring until it is released. Chaos ensues, and in the chaos they find the perfect opportunity to slip into the compound.

Boxes upon boxes.
[break][break]
Cages upon cages.
[break][break]
About a dozen operatives who run around when learning of the chaos caused by the Gyarados.
[break][break]
They’ll probably figure out what’s going on soon enough; that there’s no way the Gyarados could have woken and gotten free on its own. With that in mind, a couple more pokémon are released as a distraction, and among them, Mars calls out one of his own: his Urshifu.

”Leave none standing, Oreius… And try not to damage too much of the merchandise.”
[break][break]
Mars taps the keystone at his wrist twice, signaling permission to Mega Evolve. But, while he trusts the Urshifu to deal with most of their enemies, there are some the admin knows he personally needs to take care of. With a gun in hand, he steps deeper into the syndicate’s lair, ignoring the sounds of the battle behind him.

Deeper. Towards the small office where the head of this operation is likely to be.

An urshifu huh? Money really could buy you everything couldn't it? Well this time he was glad that he could rely on someone else for once as he usually did this alone. [break][break]

Suddenly an alarm began to blare accompanied by a red light that filled the area they were running through. It seemed like that gyrados waking up and urshifu showing up managed to garner a lot of attention. Up ahead a series of doors began to close to try and lock down the area. "God damn it! I guess we're going loud now?!" he said pulling out his pokeball and releasing his Shadow kommo-o. [break][break]

"Tear those doors to shred Kommo-o!" he ordered as the dragon let out a ferocious roar, using clangorous soul to sacrifice his health for extra power and growing vines on his body and he began to beat down the sealed doors one by one and he continued to run down the hall. "Are we heading the right way?!" he asked mars as the sound of pounding through steel and alarms blaring filled the air.

There’s an almost deafening quality to the cacophony of sounds that fill the air. Alarms, shouting, roaring, steel being torn to shreds by the Kommo-o, and thunder striking with each of the Urshifu’s blows.

Red paints their surroundings, both with spilt blood and with the light being cast down upon them.
[break][break]
”YES! Just make sure they don’t get in our way!”
[break][break]
As he says this, Mars looks up, a precisely aimed shot destroying a camera. One hand lets go of the grip of the gun, reaching for a pokéball from which a Rotom comes out in a flash of light.

”Deal with the security system. I want no footage.”

A garchomp and a Rotom? He took a moment to look back to mars "Have you ever seen a shadow pokemon before? If not prepare to learn why they're so valuable." he says as the glint in his eyes as he gets excited to cut loose. "Kommo-o! RUN THEM DOWN!" he shouts as the Pokémon charges at the Garchomp and slams it into the wall, grabbing it by the throat and hoisting it up and activating it's dragon claws to try and puncture the skin on it's neck.

"I'll hold them here! You go ahead sir!" he advises him as he was going to have some fun here and keep anyone from following the admin. It was time to be strong and hit stuff. Bryan released his Silvally and fed it a fire memory in order to take on lucario as it unleashed a multi attack on the steel fighting type.

Yes, he has, for while Mars may not possess a shadow pokémon of his own, there are a few among Team Rocket’s ranks who most definitely do, and these shadowed beasts have unquestionably been assets when the time calls for it. It makes quick work out of the Garchomp and Sylvally deals with the Lucario, leaving the admin to approvingly observe the Beast’s effectiveness and their enemies to make one last foolish move once they realise there’s no way they can win this battle.

Stop him.” Mars’ Zeraora is released, and Zeraora is as fast as they come, but even the feline is too late, and just as PLASMA FISTS hit the smuggler, a red button is pressed and every single cage opens at once. Some pokémon leap out, others are dazed, taking cautious steps, and some rip through the bars of their enclosures as if desperate to bring their rage down upon the first thing they find. It’s chaos.

"Yes sir!" he complies as the ground beneath them all began to shake. He had been given permission to prevent anyone from escaping so he'd oblige. A tree would erupt from the ground, destroying the concrete and unleashing a wave of briar thorns that slowly began to engulf the area, Xerneas appearing and scooping up both Bryan and Mars out of the attack as the attack engulfed their enemies, trapping them in a cage of thorns that grew to fit the mold of their strange environment. "BLACK BRIAR!" he shouts as the z-move successfully managed to trap everyone inside of the base. "Guess we don't have much of an option anymore? This move wont last forever so we need to make it count sir." he tells Martín del Mar as xerneas came alongside the two, lowering his head to greet the fellow rocket member.
