“As part of the payment for your services?” he echoed in turn. He wasn’t sure if this sounded like a distress call anymore. How would they even do that? And why? Josh had gone completely into Ranger mode at this point, obvious to the rustling in his pack as he tried to piece together what in the world could be going on. This was far too methodical to be your run of the mill distress call. This was deliberate. Possibly even malicious.

“If my boss sent me your way, then I assume he’s been made aware of this” he remarked. “I guess that means he wants to play along with this Unown game. But no, unfortunately. I haven’t seen any others in Hoenn. And any sightings elsewhere were years and years ago. Back when I used to travel the world.”

His expression had become grave pretty quick. "I would appreciate if you can possibly keep me in the loop. This could be serious."

He pondered if the other man had been at the Star Soiree, but remembered that he himself had spent most of the night in the company of his equally-stubborn boyfriend back then.

“He wanted like, a copy of the report—but thing is the chip I got is moot. But then again, I’m pretty certain there are other Rangers who have a copy of the app, too.”

As to who exactly, he would leave that to his friend to name.

“I wouldn’t mind keeping in touch with you. Should you find like, another Unown, let me know so we can meet again and I can add it to the report if you’re in the area.”
