After running Team Light out of their former home region, Josh made it his mission to find where they were hiding next and put an end to this for good. With his family back together and two new additions brought into the fold in the form of his and Izumi's two children, the Dragomir family would return to Hoenn to use as a new base of operations full time. Now living in Lavaridge, Josh sought to become an even better Trainer to prepare for when the day would come that he would need every bit of experience he could get. Hoping to do some exploring before heading home for dinner, Josh and Lightning would nearly be run over by a Flame Wheel'ding Sizzlipede - a Pokemon that Josh had never seen before. Sending out Lightning, Josh began one of his first proper battles in quite some time. While he was initially anxious, Josh managed to find his confidence and was able to lead Lightning to victory over the wild Sizzlipede. Josh would throw a Pokeball and with that, caught his first new Pokemon since his return to Hoenn.
