One breath in, one breath out. The blonde haired Trainer kept himself calm, or at least best he could. All of this was still... Unfamiliar. He hadn't been on a focused Pokemon catching assignment for... He wasn't sure how long. A couple years, for sure. He had spent so much time with his wife, raising their two children and figuring out RaiCorp things that his actual training had lessened for a little while.

He almost jumped though, when he heard the sound of something slimy sliding across a rocky surface. But whatever it was, it faded away soon after.

"Dour!"

The Feint attack that came for them from the Pokemon that seemed to think this its territory would be narrowly avoided, and Josh tripped and toppled over, slamming into the rocks with a pained growl as he looked up to see the Houndour making its way toward them. "Rai..." Lightning growled as he jumped in defense of his Trainer, but Josh urged him off. "Let's go with something a little more efficient for this..." Josh muttered as he pulled out a Pokeball and sent out Dunamus.

"Swampert" Dunamus remarked nonchalantly as the Houndour stopped at the sight of the blank-faced Water and Ground Type. "Dunamus, Mud Bomb!" Josh called to Dunamus, groaning as he started getting to his feet with the aid of his Raichu as Dunamus would open his mouth to bring out an orb that was definitely armed. With mud! The Houndour would dodge, but Dunamus would act on its own and fire again, to the surprise of the Houndour as it hit it head on before it could counterattack. Refusing to go down, the Houndour would flood the cave with a Smog attack, making vision difficult. Josh would cover up Lightning as he plugged his nose with his jacket, trying to see but having a hard time.

"Dunamus!" He managed to call out in warning, though the Mud Fish didn't seem to hear him. Instead, when the Houndour came flying out of the smog with a Sucker Punch, Dunamus was ready for it.

"Swamp."

That was it's only response as it attacked with Hammer Arm, hitting it dead on and sending the Houndour flying toward the wall. Josh winced as he heard the crack on impact. As the smoke cleared, it wasn't hard to discern what had happened, and Josh decided to toss a Pokeball toward the Houndour in hopes of fixing it up before sending it back into the wild.

Perhaps he would bring back his own Houndoom, now that he thought about it... The Fiery Path would be a good place for the Pokemon to hang out, wouldn't it?
