Together. For some reason, Jessie couldn't imagine Niko walking in a store or a market to get food. But he had to eat, didn't he? Unless he just got take out all the time.

She hoped that wasn't the case. Though she didn't know how often he stayed at his home.

The cave split into two paths. Her eyes scanned the sides as she glanced at her Delphox, holding his torch ever so proudly. His ears flicked as he turned to look to the right.

"I think Finn senses something to the right. Let's check it out."

to be safe, niko cracks a pokeball open, calling out his ditto.[break][break]

"you too, pink shit."[break][break]

the ditto is aptly named because the first shape it takes is similar to poop. it slowly morphs, shifting to TRANSFORM into a delphox with a torch of its own as well.

Jessica was taken aback by the name of his Ditto. However, it tickled her.

She laughed, her laugh echoing along the walls of the cave. Even when she stopped, they could be heard for a moment more, further down.

"Pink shit. The poor baby!" she said, claiming defense for the Ditto.

Of course, she was teasing Niko as they walked down the right side of the cave. Finn glanced at the Ditto that had transformed into a Delphox like himself. He seemed creeped out by it.

"You know, I got a Ditto recently. I haven't used it yet..."

"don't believe it. it likes being called that."[break][break]

with the right side of the path illuminated by both their torches, it allows him a glimpse into what awaits them: a wall made of ice, crystal clear and pristine.[break][break]

"yeah? do want my help with it?"

"Does it? Hey, does the mean man bully you?"

Jessie couldn't help it. If she was going to rile Niko up, she would do it. A smirk crossed her lips as the walls illuminated. Nothing caught her eye except the occasional glint on the ice.

"Really? You'd help me with it?"

Her gaze flicked back to him, excitement glinting in her eyes.

"I think that'd be great."

Finn paused, the torch he held swooping closer to the ice. Then he made some sort of noise, looking back at Jessie. She, begrudgingly, pulled herself from Niko's side, approaching him. It looked like something was frozen in the ice.

"Finn found it!" she said, assuming it was the artifact.

"of course i would," he huffs, clapping his hands together. "let's do it!"[break][break]

a smile grows, excited as the prospect of training together.[break][break]

"nice. let's get to work so we can get the hell outta here."[break][break]
