Any and all attempts to train Johnny Lawrence had always produced mixed results. Headstrong to a fault, the bear and Skyler had butted heads on numerous occasions and evolution hadn't changed that one bit. It just seemed that, as of late, Johnny was actually trying to train Skyler instead of the other way around.

Fortunately, evolution had also brought maturity and a newfound sort of respect between the two of them. That said, the day one could count on Skyler Dross to be the responsible, mature adult would be the day the sun failed to rise from the horizon.

Harsh breaths whistle between gritted teeth as the captain's forced to dodge a lightning-quick kick, which puts her right in the way of a right hook. Certain doom stops an inch from the tip of her chin, and a claw unfurls to poke at it as if to say fight's over, too bad. Looking up, Skyler finds an obnoxiously smug grin on Johnny's bear-like face.

"Has anyone ever told you gloating's ugly?" Ignoring the bear's huff (which might be the closest Johnny ever gets to a laugh), Skyler sweeps past the Urshifu to grab her water bottle, gulping down some of the precious liquid and taking stock of her sore muscles. She's good for one, maybe two more rounds, with luck, before her body gives up on her.

"Okay. Ready?"
