Yveltal had abandoned him.

Why? Was it because he refused to kill Dahlia Goode? Did Rocket somehow manage to convince it to throw its lot in with Adrian? Did he not do enough as the Judge? He didn't fully understand what happened, but it ebbed away at him all the same.

But one thing that he didn't know - why did his eye continue to function without Yveltal? He thought the burnt out eye was only kept alive through Yveltal's influence - to be used as its own eye. But despite leaving him behind, his eye still functioned, as if it was never burned out.

Thomas found himself traveling back to Mt. Pyre, where it all started. Aimlessly, he wandered the area, hoping for some sort of sign, anything.

Thomas managed to catch a familiar glimmer from the shadows. As a Sableye sprung to attack, the trainer was able to dive out of the path of the Sableye, quickly grabbing for a Pokeball and bringing out the first Pokemon he could.

Ripper looked down at his prey. Though she didn't look like much, action was action. The large Scizor did not hesitate to throw a Bullet Punch at the Sableye. The Sableye managed to perform a feint that threw the Scizor off, causing it to flinch.

Quickly, the Scizor would regain his composure. Irate at such a dirty trick, Ripper threw out another Bullet Punch. The Sableye managed to detect the oncoming punch, and swiftly dodged out of the way. Following up on this, the gemstone ghoul managed to grab onto the Scizor's arm, and throw him to the ground with a powerful throw.

This act of Foul Play made the Scizor furious. The armored bug got back up, and grabbed at the Sableye with a Bug Bite, managing to get the creature in his grip. The Sableye, in a panic, attempted to get free by furiously swiping at the appendage with her claws. This did little to deter the insect, as his exoskeleton handily protected his arm from the swipes.

Ripper would finish off his foe by smashing her head with a Brutal Swing of his other pincer, sending the Sableye flying. Taking short, ragged breaths, the Scizor was relieved the fight was over. As frustrating as the Sableye was, he had to admit she put up a good fight.

"Ripper, you okay?", Thomas asked, as he dusted himself off. The Scizor nodded, a grin forming over his features. Before Thomas could bring out Colt to heal the Scizor, a pleasent aroma filled the area. Thomas looked around for the source, before a tea cup-like Pokemon emerged from behind the rocks.

The Sinistea wasted in time in attempting to sap some life from the human. Seeing this, Ripper jumped in front of Thomas, taking the hit. Though it didn't do much harm to him, he was still annoyed by the assault. In retaliation, the Scizor charged the Sinistea, aiming a Brutal Swing its way.

The Sinistea attempted to loose an Astonishing cry to deter the armored insect. This failed to deter the insect, who's heavy pincer connected with the haunted tea cup, and sent it flying.

Soon after the Sinistea had been dealt with, a familiar-looking insect flew into view. Floated was a more accurate descriptor. Thomas immediately recognized a Shedinja when he saw one. The cast off shell of a Ninjask, created after evolution, and haunted by a ghost, and given its own life. Depending on what one had at their disposal, they were either a nightmare to deal with, or merely a mild inconvenience.

Once again, Ripper would find himself hammering his foe with a Brutal Swing of his pincer. The Dark Attack sent the empty shell of a Pokemon flying, just as it had its other two victims before it.

"I think that's enough for one day. Let's get you healed up, and get back to business.", Thomas told the Scizor, recalling the insect.
