While pushing through the grass he came across an Oranguru that immediately sneered at him, an alleged novice trainer. Though struck with fascination at first with how intelligent the creature and its community seemed to be, he was offended when it made some rude gestures and whooping calls meant to mock him. "Oh yeah???"

Looks like he'd have to teach it some respect.

Rikki was in hot PURSUIT, running up on the creature and executing a relentless series of X-SCISSORS that left the pokemon dazed and weakened. The Oranguru feigned passivity and looked to be fleeing, but a calculated look in its eye, as if it were cooking up some NASTY PLOT, made Aedan wary. "Rikki, be careful! I think it's-"

On cue the pokemon whirled around, whipping around to blindside Zangoose with the fan while a fist followed up in a moment of FOUL PLAY that might've been disastrous for them, if Aedan's instincts and Zangoose's reflexes hadn't allowed it to DETECT the threat and navigate around it.

..Not too shabby, kiddo...



It was a humbling moment, and although the Oranguru wasn't down for the count, it seemed to take an interest in Aedan then. Shuffling and scooting forwardly slowly, it made sweeping gestures towards the empty pokeball on his belt. "What? You wanna let me catch you...?"

After a measured nod, Aedan lobbed the pokeball at it lightly, and pretty soon they were fast friends.

Little did he know the Oranguru would use him to pursue its own dream of becoming a Pokemon Master!
