"wait- huh?!" noah's eyes widen as smoke spreads across the canvas and pools off its battle-worn edges.

the maneuver felix's gallade catches the gym leader off-guard; however, it is one noah would take too. a physical passing of the baton at risk to one's partner. a sacrifice to get the job done at all costs. noah knows the technique well.

when such a tactic is turned on him, noah can only watch.

as the berry bounces back from the charizard's head, the gallade is already en route.

"watch out!"

the passimian attempts to swerve back in the air, tail like a mid-air rudder. but it's too late. the PSYCHO CUT strikes across its chest and hurls the monkey to the metal fencing.

with a harsh rattle, the passimian cries. the voice is cut short by a thud on the canvas. fainted.

"a-ah," noah sighs, "not a bad job, man." he recalls his passimian back into its ball before offering applause. "congrats, felix! you got me there. reminded me of myself, actually, with that last move. you win the knockout badge, felix!"

he leaves his side of the ring. a hand stretches forth, fingers pinched around a glistening emblem of felix's victory.
