[attr="class","inner-finally"]She's been running away more and more often, packing her bags and leaving the house if only to catch a breath after suffocating in her thoughts for so long. But it remains a honey trap, always luring her back in and ensnaring her in a downwards spiral that she can't climb out of. It stays on her mind even as she stumbles through the undergrowth of the Safari Zone, her head muddled as she loses sense of direction within seconds.

Not even Reiner can snap her out of it, not when he too is stuck in the same headspace as her. The most he can do is steer her away from danger, standing by her side when she stumbles and picking her up when she trips. When she scrapes her knees, he finally makes the call to take a break, settling her down under the sprawling shade of an evergreen right by a flowing stream.

The river is clear, a cloth quickly dipped into the chilly waters before being draped over the gently bleeding abrasions. Though Eris may hiss, she doesn't quite have the energy to snap at Reiner, nor does she wish to do so. Instead, she merely pats the ground beside her, waiting for him to lie down beside her before nestling close.

Perhaps, today would be best as a slow day.

Instead, the breeze is filled with a gentle chiming, a lone Chingling swinging from the branches above and watching them with mild curiosity. Looking up, Eris can only stare back, before offering a weak smile and inviting it to come down.

And this time, an encounter comes from the waters, a small Oshawott flopping onto the bank and looking at her with half-opened shells in its paws.

It quickly waddles over, giving Reiner a wary sniff before lifting its shell collection as a form of peace offering. Though a little confused, the Luxray doesn't think it well to decline it, carefully snagging it from the Oshawott's grasp and draping it over his front limbs. Then, as the little otter plops down on the ground beside him and begins clapping, he knows he's made a mistake.

Instinctively, Reiner begins to tense up, electricity slowly building up in his mane. But the Oshawott is already one step ahead of him, blasting the danger away with a merciless Hydro Pump before sticking his tongue out at the fleeing Cyndaquil.

She snickers and hoots, her wings flapping with such fervour that she nearly tumbles off the branch. Though a little dazed, Eris does twitch as the Rowlet struggles to regain its balance, her hands reaching into her sidepouch and pulling out a poffin.

Patience enables her to hold out the treat and wait, even when the Rowlet warily eyes the food and shows signs of considering whether to leave. But as always, the temptation of a free snack is far too strong to be ignored. So the owlet glides down, talons outstretched to grab the poffin before her graceful landing.

Too bad her method of eating isn't nearly as graceful.

And yet, that wish is slightly tainted when she hears a loud Crunching noise, her gaze drawn towards the noise.

By the riverbank, a lone Growlithe sits, desperately chewing on a rock as if trying to crack it. Eventually it gives up, furiously tossing it to the side and growling. Seeing this, the Oshawott carefully lifts a poffin from Eris' pouch, waddling over to the young tiger and holding it out with a smile.
