Truthfully, Rafael wasn't all that interested in romance, but speed dating was a good way to meet new people. And who knows, maybe he would find love. The first person on his list of dates was none other than a local celebrity.

Rafael found her on the dance floor and strolled casually up, the Togepi on his head smiling joyfully. They were short on time, but he didn't need much to make a good impression.

"Melody," he smiled, "care to dance?" Rafael extended his hand.

She was ONCE a local celebrity, but ever since her addition to the Aqua initiative her stardom has reached even newer heights. Melody had been dancing around on her own, moving around her corsola who was happy just to be in the middle as melody jauntily and lightly stepped around her dancing to the beat of her own drum.[break][break]

Yet suddenly it seemed like someone was cutting in, a person melody hadn't met before. "Well, hello there! Rafael Artega?" she asked confirming who he was before setting her sights upon the togepi. "Oh my god! So cute! Hey there little one" she said immediately shifting her gaze from Rafael's eyes to the little baby with him. She realized she was invited to dance and snapped back to reality. "Sure, let's dance." she said with a smile as she accepted his hand and allowed him to lead. [break][break]

It had been a while since she had an actual dance partner, she was used to following her own rhythm but now someone else was in control for once. Felt weird. "So uh...tell me about yourself.." she said becoming a little more awkward with each moment.

Togepi squealed at the attention. More than happy to soak it all up in Rafael's place. "You're going to be her new favorite person now." Rafael laughed and guided Melody by the hand across the dance floor. He's an okay lead. Not the best she'll have danced with, but certainly not the worse.

"Well, I'm from Kanto. The Sevii Islands, to be exact. I'm a doctor, psychiatrist actually, but I do have formal medical training." he smiled, gently pulling her closer by the waist.

"And yourself?"

Melody grinned "Good, togepi is one of the cutest pokemon in the world." she said as she continued to pet the little egg. "Woah so you're like a super smart person huh?" she said impressed with his achievements.[break][break]

"Which Melody do you want to know? The famous idol of Hoenn or the girl before the music took off?" She asked trying to gauge what he really meant as she was curious to see who he cared for. Intentions were more often than not innocent.

That was a difficult question to answer, the person behind the mask? Melody was confused as to what he really meant, it made her question a couple of things. But she took a moment to answer, following his lead as they both moved in Sync to the music. [break][break]

"Well someone is eager to get to know me. The real melody beneath the mask?" she repeated trying to buy some time as she quite literally danced around the subject. "She's a mystery, no one's really ever seen her so what makes Rafael think he can find out so easily?" she answers playfully as she teases him. "But I can share SOMETHING private" she says leaning into his ear as well to make sure he can hear her over the music "Melody's quite terrified of bugs, specifically of araquanids." [break][break]

"What about Mr. Eshmun? You cant just ask and not tell me something either."

"Entomophobia, huh? That's a pretty common fear, you know. Thanks for sharing."

The end of their time together is quickly approaching. And as Melody says, it would be unfair of him to part without sharing something. "Me?" Rafael stepped back, separating from the dance.

The buzzer sounded, and Rafael bowed.

"You'll have to see me and again to find out."

If visuals could appear alongside melody a million question marks would appear as she had no idea what Entomophobia meant but maybe it was the scientific name for fear of bugs? Whelp, not like she could ask him as it was obvious the date was ending as suddenly as it had started. [break][break]

She wanted to know more about this Rafael person so she made a mental note to contact him later. Hopefully he was still interested in learning about the girl beneath he mask. (fuckin carl jung ass binch!!)
