It isn't too far in that she hears a sweet cry, muffled by trembling leaves and crackling twigs.

It gets louder the closer she wanders to the bush, Dianthus' ears twitching incessantly as she raises her hackles and readies to pounce. And with a little more thrashing, a tiny golden Stufful tumbles free in a whirl of leaves and flowers. It rolls for a bit, doing several front rolls and threatening to continue on down a small hill had it not been for the Espeon's Psychic interference. Nervously, Dianthus keeps the cub at a distance and peers around for any signs of a mother bear barreling right for her young, but it soon becomes clear that no one will be coming for this little one.

Gwao! It cries again, looking at them with big doe eyes.

Dianthus sighs, pulling it closer and placing it gently before her feet. And before the cub can waddle away, she's holding onto it and fervently licking behind the ears, cleaning the dirt right out of the beautiful yellow coat just like a mother would its young. Throughout the entire process, Amaryllis can only watch in silent awe, not quite daring to interfere with Dianthus' sudden wave of motherly instincts.
