Mossdeep is wonderfully quiet at this hour of day, a welcome change of pace from the unease that constantly floods the streets of Sootopolis. So much so that as she allows her gaze to wander over the array of shops that line this street, the small thought of starting anew does cross her mind.[break][break]

Pushing the door open into the local store, she's greeted by an endless slew of colours. Fresh fruits and vegetables scream at her with those neon yellow discount offers, but she steadily makes her way towards the back where the baked goods are. Despite the numerous little bits and treats that catches her eyes, Dianthus wrinkles her nose and makes sure to stick close.[break][break]

Surely, she can ask for some right before they go to the cashier or leave.

Ryllis is probably one of the weirder variations of her name she might hear, but that whiplash is still mild compared to the threat laid down upon her counter.[break][break]

"Didn't think you guys operate in Sootopolis still." Other than the fear of losing everything she'd known, that had become one of the best reasons for her to hide here. "Well, you're gonna have to tell him I don't have it. If he wants it, he's gonna have to come down personally and pry it from my cold, dead hands."

Oh, now he wants to talk about her brother? She almost rolls her eyes at him, if not for the realisation that he really shouldn't have any reason to suddenly care about Killian Decker. Any retorts are silenced to a mere raise of her brow, her gaze darting between both men as the dear doctor decides to become a little too cozy.[break][break]

Perhaps, he wishes to one up the royal pain. But she really isn't interested in playing her part more than she needs to.[break][break]

"Another time maybe." She smiles, cautiously stepping away from the lies and glamour. As much as it'd be great if she could make Remiel Calcifet suffer, he seems a little too uneasy for her to simply ignore. A hand reaches for the prince's arm, slender fingers pressing tight as if urging him to lead the way.[break][break]

"We do have quite a bit to discuss... and I'd hate for the mood to be ruined when there's much to be seen in your exhibit!"

She's at least calm enough to recognise that shaking that hand is basic manners, and she'll let it happen without resistance. But how her tongue curls at the pet name Remiel Calcifet drops, a slight twitch of her eye the only remaining sign of how much she wishes to glare at him. And he dares to wrap an arm around her waist... She scoffs, pulling away with whatever little grace she can afford him.[break][break]

"Hands off." Unlike him, she will not feign a smile for there is no real reason for her to do so. "And no, now's not the time for such things."[break][break]

How does he intend to make this some kind of public breakup? Perhaps, she should never have played along with his antics. If she bunkers down and simply denies all allegations, there'd be no real reason for the press to keep harrassing her... right? More than anything, she's doing this so Killian Decker doesn't end up pulling any stunts. This is moreso for his benefit, isn't it?

Unbroken eye contact and a straightened posture, she quietly clears her throat.[break][break]

Berry picking - A relatively laid back job that would pay her in both cash and free berries to take home! And depending on what she harvested, she could very well make a few fresh pastries and cakes. The only real problem is the odd wild pokemon or two that might be trying to sneak the goods from right under her nose but surely she should be able to handle that with the help of her trusted partner Dianthus, right?[break][break]

The zone where she chooses to start is littered with various other volunteers hard at work. With a discerning eye for fresh fruits, she's quick to pick out the good ones, sorting the overripe ones into a free basket that her Espeon helps to carry around. Pretty soon, the bush is plucked clean and Amaryllis is quick to get back to her feet. A free hand pats away the dirt clinging to her clothes, earning a small cough from Dianthus as she sharply turns away from the unceremonious shower.[break][break]

"My bad." Comes a quiet laughter, Amaryllis reaching down to give an apologetic scratch behind the ears. "Think we should move on to the next?"[break][break]

Dianthus merely huffs in response.

Not even a minute after he reaches up to adjust his tie, Amaryllis promptly reaches out, her cheeks flushed red as she grabs that very same tie and pulls him in close.[break][break]

"You are one of the WORST men I have EVER met! You simply don't care because it isn't really your own reputation at stake? God, I want to slap you SO MUCH!" And yet, she refrains from doing so because once she does so, she'll effectively be burning the bridge to her own salvation. That and she's a little too soft-hearted to actually hurt someone else.[break][break]

"If I play along with your silly little charade, you better make it work. You've got one real chance here, Mister Galarian Ambassador."

Then that would technically have been her fault for not taking it, right? Oh well, she won't perceive it as long as he doesn't bring it up.[break][break]

"Well, I hope you'll find some peace of mind." She hums, pushing away yet another pile of snow. "As for me, well... I think it'd be nice to offer up some help to the locals, earn a little bit of money on the side."[break][break]

She haunts the corridors, a vengeful ghost. Her eyes scour the cracks on the ceiling and trace them all the way down to the tip of display cases. Purple tails sway to the rhythm of her steps, an Espeon gracefully stalking ahead of her with a nose sniffing the air. Though she rarely uses her sense of smell to track down people, Dianthus finds that it isn't too hard to find their target this time around.[break][break]

After all, who can miss someone famous standing before a crowd with that heavy 'elegant' stench?[break][break]

She waits for him to speak of his vast amounts of knowledge on... rituals? Ancient draconid rituals or something, definitely not something that you'd find in a history book unless you truly were looking. And as soon as he's done, she steps up, pulling the hood of her jacket down as she unfolds something from her pocket.[break][break]

"Okay, I know I said something along the lines of never seeing you again but I'm gonna have to be frank with you, buddy..."[break][break]
