It gets louder the closer she wanders to the bush, Dianthus' ears twitching incessantly as she raises her hackles and readies to pounce. And with a little more thrashing, a tiny golden Stufful tumbles free in a whirl of leaves and flowers. It rolls for a bit, doing several front rolls and threatening to continue on down a small hill had it not been for the Espeon's Psychic interference. Nervously, Dianthus keeps the cub at a distance and peers around for any signs of a mother bear barreling right for her young, but it soon becomes clear that no one will be coming for this little one.

Gwao! It cries again, looking at them with big doe eyes.

Dianthus sighs, pulling it closer and placing it gently before her feet. And before the cub can waddle away, she's holding onto it and fervently licking behind the ears, cleaning the dirt right out of the beautiful yellow coat just like a mother would its young. Throughout the entire process, Amaryllis can only watch in silent awe, not quite daring to interfere with Dianthus' sudden wave of motherly instincts.

It's the little details that matter, the happiness that she can bring to others that makes her day a little brighter each time. Without it, she honestly isn't sure where she'd have been in life right now. And perhaps, she doesn't want to consider it, a light frown traced upon her lips as she breathes in the atmosphere.

How easily he lets it slide, even reassuring her about things... if only things were a little more stable between the Rocket and the League. Perhaps there'd come a day where both sides could create a conflict-free grounds - even if a little tense - where they could help civilians continue their daily lives unaffected.

"He was an avatar to boot... manipulating fire and all." She pauses, pressing the tips of her finger together as she eyes the Luxury Ball. "I don't think I could ever manage something like that."

Witnessing the Dragalge's fall, another creature emerges from the water with a fiery Spark, bubbling at Dianthus and getting ready to leap out. In response, she sighs, waving her tail and releasing psychic waves of Confusion in retaliation. Just as the Chinchou falters and sways, the Espeon butts the Luxury ball out of Mars' hand, kicking it towards the fish with a light snarl.

"Dianthus is strong, much stronger than I am in terms of mentality. I don't like hurting pokemon, so she's usually the one taking charge when going against them."
