The pace was starting to pick up now, at least it seemed that way to Hailee. She was still a little shaken up from her last encounter with Ceri Glynn but it wouldn’t take her long to get back to usual. A quick pat on the cheeks and she was ready to go. [break][break]

The blonde quickly made her way to the table, stopping Raijin from scooping up more sweets since he had snacked enough. It looked like she was the first to arrive. That was a good change for once, she could get settled in nicely before her partner arrived. [break][break]

“Come here Jin-Jin. You’re so energetic today.” she said as she sat him on her lap. It was true, maybe it was the sweets or the fact that he had just seen Ceri for the first time after years. Still, she needed him to relax and be on his best behavior for the rest of her time here.

Keeping the EMOLGA calm, it seemed, was about to get a lot more difficult in the face of an overly social and buoyant Boltund. The dog came running towards the table with its tongue hanging out of its mouth, having developed a keen sense for which table his trainer was headed towards. It rose up on two feet and anchored its front paws onto the edge of the table, barking once before it sniffed in the flying squirrel's direction and wagged its tail.

The aforementioned trainer, a muscular blonde in a black turtleneck and pressed khakis, waves at his date and smiles almost as brightly as his Pokémon partner when he arrives. This might be due to the fact that he's still riding a high after securing a proper date with Ceri Glynn .

"Hey, what's up! My name's Atlas. Sorry if Rex here surprised you, haha..." He adds, a little embarrassed that he'd been apologizing for his dog so much today. He ushers the canine down with a pat of his thigh, then takes his seat as he returns his attention to the other blonde. "Is this your first time doing this sort of thing, too?" He asks, petting Rex all the while.

"You look lovely yourself, Hailee. Guess they brought us blondes in to liven up the party, huh?" Atlas said as a soft flush colored his cheeks. "As they should." she said with a confident yet playful smirk. With a flick of her wrists a piece of her blonde locks were between her fingers. "You know what they say, blondes have more fun anyway." she said with a wink. [break][break]

Rex interjected with a happy bark that pulled Hailee's gaze from his trainer. "See, Rex agrees." Hailee said with a giggle. "So what do you like to do on your free time? And who's your little friend there?" Atlas asked as he gestured towards Raijin. Glancing down to where the squirrel pokémon laid snuggled against her breast. [break][break]

Smiling she reached down and pinched his cheeks, tugging on them gently. "This suddenly shy baby is Raijin. He's normally more social but I think he's pouting because I won't give him any more sweets." She says with a soft chuckle before releasing Raijin's cheeks. He huffs defiantly but still remains seated on her lap. [break][break]

"As for what I do in my free time you must mean besides this." she said before quickly adding on. "Looking this good I mean not the speed dating part." She smiled. "I like to make clothes." she said with a proud smile as she gestured to her outfit. "Currently attending Slateport U's Art and Design school for it to be exact." she said before she turned her bright gaze to him. "What about you?"

Atlas brightly laughs. "Yeah... I never pictured myself in a romantic-comedy either, but here we all are." The man chimes in, a soft red glow on his cheeks when she compliments him shortly thereafter. "You look lovely yourself, Hailee. Guess they brought us blondes in to liven up the party, huh?"

Rex barks with a dumb grin that he shifts between them both; seemingly in agreement. Atlas is sure to give the dog a good scritch beneath the chin before continuing. "So what do you like to do on your free time? And who's your little friend there?" He adds, casting a little nod and a smile at the Emolga snuggled close against her bosom.

Atlas laughs, though nods in agreement as he does so. In his experience, blondes did have more fun. It'd been part of the reason he'd left— or been kicked out, according to some— of HOLON.

Even so, he wasn't immune to the charms of other blondes when they winked at him. Especially pretty ones. He rubs at the back of his neck bashfully.

The conversation shifts towards her Emolga, and he finds himself charmed to see the two interact. That the critter hadn't shocked them both to kingdom come when she'd pinched its cheeks was a testament to their bond.

Soon thereafter, Hailee draws his attention to her outfit as she answers his question, and he examines it with awe in his eyes before blinking and chuckling with embarrassment. Had he stared a little too much? He hadn't meant to.

"That's pretty nice craftsmanship! It looks like something you'd see walking down the runaway..."

He remarks, not that the world of modeling or fashion was one he was all too familiar with anyway. The man pauses a moment to realize she went to the same university as Ceri, but is prompted to answer himself when Haille speaks again.

"O-Oh... me? I'm really into weightlifting, drums, laser tag... though I don't have a lot of time after detective work. If I'm not out snooping, I'm usually helping out the SCPD with one odd job or another."

"That's pretty nice craftsmanship! It looks like something you'd see walking down the runaway..." Hailee chuckled as she waved a hand in front of her face. “Oh stop it, you’ll make me blush.” she teased with a giggle. [break][break]

This particular outfit wasn’t anything that would be runway material but she could tell Atlas was trying. It was the thought that counted anyway and she found it adorable nonetheless. "O-Oh... me? I'm really into weightlifting, drums, laser tag…”[break][break]

“Weightlifting?” she mused softly. “Mmm, yes, I do believe I can tell.” she said as her eyes twinkled while she gave him a quick once over. His stature certainly did live up to that little fact. [break][break]

“...though I don't have a lot of time after detective work. If I'm not out snooping, I'm usually helping out the SCPD with one odd job or another." Hailee’s eyes widened as she nodded. “Oh wow, strong and smart. Well aren’t you a catch.” she said with a smirk. [break][break]

She was about to continue her teasing till the bell rang to signal the end of their time together. “Shoot.” she said with a slight pout. “And here I was having so much fun too.” she sighed. Glancing around quickly she spied the notepad on the table and quickly scribbled out some digits on the pad. [break][break]

“Well, it was a pleasure meeting you Atlas. I’d love to catch up some time.” she said as she slid the paper with her number over to him. “Who knows when I’ll need a smart and capable man like you on my side.” she said with a smirk. [break][break]

“But don’t feel obligated, it's only if you’re in the mood to play.” she assured him, after all this was a no strings attached sort of deal.

The way she looked at him spawned a proud smirk across his expression. The twinkle in her eye wasn't one he was entirely unfamiliar with either. Rather than sink further into bashfulness, however, Atlas returns the gesture with a once-over of his own. He was proud of his build, after all, and confidence easily seeped in when it was regarded.

When it came to smarts, however...

"Oh no... don't go thinking I'm some sort of Herlock Sholmes just yet," He laughs. "But we're out here trying— aren't we, boy?" He coos, looking down at his Boltund and scruffing up the fur around its neck.

Unfortunately, the bell rings and their conversation ends just as soon as it was starting to gain some momentum. Atlas, too, laments it with a small groan. Though eyes brighten with a mixture of surprise and ~~smugness~~ happiness when he sees her grab a notepad.

"Y-Yeah. Nice meeting you, too, Hailee." He smiles, eyes blinking from her number to her enticing smirk. "I'd love to play sometime." The blonde smirks back, watching her leave before uttering a short 'whew'.

"Turning out to be quite the valentine's this year, isn't it Rexy?"

The dog barks and he laughs again, getting up from his seat before nabbing Hailee's number and walking off to his next speed date.
