Memo watched with awe as Warren’s Torracat turned the Crabrawler into a toasty 5-star meal in about two seconds flat. Compared to that, he was wrangling babies.

“I’m from Galar, originally,” Memo said, though his tone was less proud and more brittle and bitter. “Hoenn is the adventure, to me.”

The Hakamo-o that lunged from deeper in the shadows of the cave was to be their biggest challenge yet. The massively scaled dragon aimed a fierce sky uppercut towards Memo and his team; luckily, was on the case, and she knocked the beast back with a fairy wind, direct to its chest. The super-effective move threw the Hakamo-o backward into the cave wall, and it crumpled downwards, the momentary lull allowing Guillermo to collect it in a Pokeball.

“How about you?” he asked, tossing the dreads out of his forehead as Shivani retrieved the Pokeball. “Where’s home for you?”

"Galar. I'm sure coming here was a shock, since it's cold in Galar," he said.

"Depending on where you're from, I suppose..."

The next Pokemon that caught his eye was a PERRSERKER. The cat-like creature made a hissing noise at him, preparing to strike. However, he wouldn't let that happen.

With a flick of his hand, Warren's TORRACAT took charge again, throwing a fiery attack to damage it greatly. Fire was the PERRSERKER'S weakness, after all.

Another poke ball was thrown, waiting to seal this catch in.

"Me? I'm from Johto. Blackthorn City. A ways from here, I suppose."

Yeah, that’s all anyone wanted to talk about in Galar. The cold. How was the transition from The Cold. Like the cold was a person. An entity. In reality, it wasn’t necessarily cold, in Galar; just less tropical.

“It’s just a different kind of wet,” Memo eventually said, hoping that brief snippet would explain things.

Out of the darkness came an angry roar. A Bastiodon, irritated at the trespassers in her cave, charged forward, head couched. Memo had just enough time to dodge to the side to save his own skin.

It was to be their toughest challenge yet; none of his Pokemon had moves that were really successful against the Shield Pokemon. Zuza slowed the beast with a Psychic, struggling to stop it from lifting its feet; Shivani hit it full on in the face with Shadow Ball. Memo beamed a Pokeball off the creature’s broad head as it was shaking it’s shield-shaped skull to ward off the darkness.

The Pokemon that emerged would be the last that Warren would see. However, neither of them peaked his fancy. He allowed Memo to catch whichever he pleased, while using his TORRACAT to scare away the other one.

"Hmm... well, my time here is up, Mr. Memo."

Recalling his team except for his AEGISLASH, Warren looked over to the man and gave him a nod.

"A pleasure. Perhaps our paths will cross again in the future."

With that, Warren left, the sword-like Pokemon floating behind him.
