“Hmmhmm.”

Mòrag sat at the table in wait, having arrived early, tapping her finger on the table. The distinct sound of munching could be heard from below, as her Mawile happily munched away on a macaron she had got her little mitts on. Of course, Mòrag was only too happy to oblige.

A speed date, huh? The only intimacy she had ever really had was the occasional one night stand, so this was entirely new territory for her, even if this was business rather than romance. Perhaps she’d make a new friend?

Whenever her date did arrive, she’d look up from the empty space she was staring into, looking him in the eye with a pleasant smile.

“Nice to see you. Call me Mòrag.” She introduced herself succinctly. A brief grunt of effort from below, and suddenly, a Mawile would pop its head up, having found herself on her trainer’s lap, face full of macaron crumbs as she waved in greeting.

It was safe to say that 'Daisuke' was here more for networking than finding romance. The tall, black-haired man walked up to the table, accompanied by an Audino. "Miss Glas? I'm Daisuke Hayashi.", he'd introduce himself with a smile.

As he took his seat, a Mawile would greet him. He would wave back to the Steel-type. The Audino would wave to the two, and let out a cheerful greeting, introducing herself a DeDe. From there, she would attempt to strike up a conversation with the Mawile.

"So tell me about yourself, Mòrag. What do you do for a living?", he'd inquire, attempting to break the ice.

The Mawile peeked over the table, hopping down from it to greet the Audino. Introducing herself as Marianne to DeDe, she happily chatted with the Audino. Similar to DeDe, she too was eager to make conversation, although she seemed a fair bit more subdued, tending to listen more than she talked.

Meanwhile, Mòrag would respond to Daisuke’s question.

“Hmmhmm. I suppose you could say I do a little bit of everything.” She smiled at him somewhat enigmatically, “Whatever my employers put me up to, anyway. Honestly, they’re right bloody taskmasters.”

She sighed, leaning back onto her chair.

“But honestly, talking about work is rather boring. A person is far more than their job, no?” She said to him, “Tell me, Daisuke, what sort of things do you enjoy doing in your free time?”

Employers? Who was her employer, exactly? Whoever it was, she didn't seem like she wanted to talk much about it.

He could work with that.

"I'm embarrassed to say, but I don't have much in the way of hobbies. Not aside from taking care of my dear Pokemon, like DeDe here, or martial arts.", he'd tell her rather sheepishly.

Granted, Thomas didn't see either of those things as hobbies, but as ways of life. Obviously, taking care of one's Pokemon was a commitment. And while some would do martial arts as a hobby, Thomas used his skills for actual combat and survival. But under the guise of Daisuke, he could probably use the latter.
