Deep breath in, deep breath out.

It was a week until the S.P.E.C.T.R.A exams and the time to train was dindling further by the second. He knew, as an assistant, that the proctors were more interested in the other participants, but that didn't grant him any excuse to provide a lackluster time. While there, he was a direct representative for ANVIL, and so any ill opinions of the org would automatically trace back to him.

Sensing his internal stress, Gallade offered his trainer a solid pat on the back. Hopefully, they'll head back to Petalburg City in time for some relaxation.

Would anyone believe that he didn’t have all the Flying-types that existed yet?

Well, apparently, it was true.

He was still missing several species, however due to Flying being one of the most prolific types that existed, plausibly getting his hands on every single Flying (and not-so-Flying) type that existed—that wasn’t a Legendary…

Legendary… hah.

He wondered what was going on with the djinni, wherever they were.

He had two ‘eyes in the sky’, watching him, as always, just in case shit went south quickly.

He wasn’t expecting to run into someone out here, though…

The sound of footsteps was enough to snap Felix's attention to the direction in which they came. Sharp, threatening eyes met the stranger, like an animal caught by a potential threat. Eventually, this curtain of admonitory dropped, as the man appeared to pose no threat to neither him nor Gallade.

Nodding, the general gave his signature hint of acknowledgment before turning back around towards the road ahead of him. But, yet again, another hindrance prevented him from continuing. This time in the shape of a Poliwrath. Noting its potential usefulness, he gestured for his Gallade to deal with it.

One Psycho Cut later and he was ripe for the catching.

At the same moment the Poliwrath was engaged in battle, a Ducklett flew from somewhere nearby—and made him look at the flighty avian.

“Cute,” he remarked as he let the smaller fowl coast along the updrafts—he already had a Swanna of his own.

Glancing over at where he recognized a Gallade that had taken down the Poliwrath with a single attack, he turned to whom he presumed was the Gallade’s trainer and asked idly, “Looking for anything in particular?”

The two eyes in the sky were still hovering above, ready to swoop down at a moment’s notice should shit go south below.

To be frank, Felix wasn't too thrilled when the stranger continued to spark conversation between them. He'd prefer to just nod, then continue on their separate ways. Part of him wondered if that option was still available -- just because he called out to him doesn't mean he has to respond.

"But that's rude," He could hear mint frost inwardly nag. Was it? Did it even matter if it was?

Sighing, he eventually relented to the inner scolding he was still receiving and turned back towards Alexei Ivanov .

"No."

He wondered why the other was… being terse. Maybe he didn’t want to talk?

Should he continue pressing on, or should he back down and—

The moment he was about to speak again, the flash of something very familiar made him stop and whistle loudly, just one note—

And a blur of blue came screaming down from the sky; the Braviary now hot on the Pikipek’s trail as said Braviary then unloaded an Aerial Ace to close the distance.

A Screeching noise erupted from the Pikipek, but oh no, the Braviary wasn’t done yet—another Aerial Ace deliberately knocking himself into the Pikipek, to force the other avian to fly in Alexei’s direction—

A barrage of Bullet Seeds were thrown at the Braviary, but he was faster, again mostly due to his size. A third Aerial Ace threw the Pikipek within sniping range, and before it could even hit the ground—

Alexei had thrown an empty Pokéball at it!
