Bryan was sent on a mission with THEO BECKETT to collect pokemon lower slateport. The results of the exodus experiment he assisted with gave them the knowledge to continue their work with creating genesects and he was interested in having one. [break][break]

The only problem was, the grocery list for this bastard was fucking specific. They were probably gonna be here a while so bryan kept his flask with him as he waited for his capturing partner to arrive and begin the man hunt.

"A good amount of scraps could make a good stew." he says stretching his arms out and placing them behind his head as he was acting very nonchalant about the entire situation. [break][break]

He had become much more aloof in the previous months since geomancy, almost disconnected from reality and everyone else. He spotted a flaaffy roaming around the streets and trying to find some scraps for it's next meal as well. However Bryan found his prey, he pulled out pokeball and released his Hisuian Liligant who used a close combat to quickly defeat the fluffball and capture it. "And you? How are you doing? What are you up to?" he asks trying to fill up the awkward silence.

he cracks open a pokeball, calling out his blaziken who immediately leaps towards the duraludon to throw a BLAZE KICK. the impact rattles the space around them, and though it IRON DEFENSES, another BLAZE KICK sends it right into a pokeball.

what bryan may find awkward, theo sees it as no different than regular conversation. maybe that says something about theo. maybe not.

He raised an eyebrow at Theo's idea of training Bryan. "Huh? Really?" [break][break]

"And what exactly does that training revolve around?" he asks as he possibly wondered what Theo could show Bryan. He had heard hearsay of people not being the same after spending a lot of time with Theo. But he had no idea if the context of these rumors were actually true, so until then that's all they were. [break][break]

"I think you'd find I'm a horrible student." he elaborates as he spots a luxray in the distance. He released his Greninja as one of his main pokemon. "Smack down." he orders as Greninja leapt into the air high above luxray and dropped his food down hard on the Pokémon. Upon seeing it faint bryan took out an ultra ball and stored the creature for his collection.

what would bryan need training in? theo has a few ideas, but his attention's pulled away to the METAL BURSTING duraludon that appears.

"the majority of rocket make for horrible students."

his blaziken meets the ROCK SMASH with ease, parrying it off to the side to deliver a swift BLAZE KICK that topples the duraludon. it falls right into a pokeball.

"for you, i'd focus on refining your combat abilities, and improving your temper."

An Escavalier charged at Bryan, catching him off guard. If it wasn't for all that heavy armor it was wearing making that noise he surely would have been penetrated right in front of Theo, how embarrassing.[break][break]

Thankfully he did catch the pokemon, grabbing it's lance arm and shooting it a disgusted glance. He tossed the pokemon at the wall, cracking the brick and morator thanks to his enhanced strength. The steel plating protecting the pokemon for the most part, he sucked on his teeth in annoyance. Greninja wouldn't suffice for this. "Incineroar." he said dropping a pokeball besides him as a massive humanoid cat launched itself at the bug steel type, using flare blitz to one shot the pokemon. [break][break]

He had destroyed even more of the wall with his pokemon's fire move, creating a hole in it. He turned around back to theo and tilted his head. "My temper?" he said questioning what the man meant as more of the wall behind him crumbled even further

where bryan's encounter with the escavalier is violent and brutal, theo's encounter with the pincurchin is the opposite of that.

as sounds of combat ring on behind him, theo lowers to scoop a pincurchin off the ground, holding it in the palms of his hands.

"hello there."

it blows small bubbles in greeting.

"yes, you can."

he brings the pincurchin to his back, letting it stick on like a backpack right as bryan asks his question.

"yes. you have a reputation of losing it, i've heard."
