[break][break] bio stuff here[break] - born in lumoise city, kalos. technically speaking, the middle child between a younger twin of several minutes and an elder sibling of four years. grew up in a tightly knit middle class family. had a standard upbringing while attending public school, but as far as hobbies went, he was actually reluctant to do anything related to music.
- always wasn’t sure about what he wanted to do in life. growing up, he always felt like he lagged behind everyone else whenever they expressed what they wanted to do later down the line. to him, it was always a matter of being overwhelmed by possibilities to the point of not knowing what to commit himself. he'd had an early interest in music, but it was because of this mindset that he almost let it go.
- found his passions through a friend. early in his high school years, he met his longest standing friend through an exchange student program. that friend of his came to kalos to study for a couple of years, and it was thanks to that person that astor fully realized how passionate he was about music, and also got into dancing because of him, as well. even after his friend's stay ended, they kept in contact and occasionally visited each other whenever they had breaks in school and life.
- graduated and moved to hoenn for higher education. following high school graduation, astor moved to hoenn and bunked with his friend after being accepted into a university in the region. they became closer confidants over the years following, and as time went on, astor was able to find out more about his friend's mental struggles, as well as his previous situation back home. he naturally became his friend's crutch and helped him overcome a fair degree of his self esteem issues, and also helped ground him through crises and some depressive episodes.
- involved in a train accident at age twenty-three. one day on the way to class with his friend, the train that they rode on had a mishap that resulted in a relatively catastrophic crash and accident. astor came out alive, though at the cost of one of his legs while also having injuries on his face that required skin grafts and left some nasty scarring even after healing. his friend was one of the people that were lost in the accident. needless to say, astor was devastated— but it hit him especially harder due to starting to think (when he, himself, wasn't in a relationship, at least) about whether or not he felt strong platonic feelings for him, or if his feelings were becoming romantic.
- teetered in between periods of grief. although he's managed to come to terms with what happened, he still returns to grief every so often in the aftermath of the closeness that he and his friend had. misguided himself. briefly turned to minor substance abuse, but managed to pull away before it became detrimental. found his way into rocket during that time.
- ultimately finished schooling. achieved a degree in electronics engineering; the knowledge of which he used to start designing his own, independent brand of electronically-based accessories. each has a number of features and can be custom made, with the masks and goggles that he wears being his own, personally customized gear that reacts and changes based on his expressions, on top of having a number other features. he uses his own products to both promote himself and have a more comfortable appearance simultaneously.
- continues making music. he started professionally making music back in his high school years and has kept up with it partially for his own enjoyment, and partially in subtle memory of his friend.
- moved to lilycove city. originally lived in slateport city, but moved to lilycove city somewhat recently.
[break][break] miscellaneous stuff here[break] - alfie jukes best represents his voice. unaccented when speaking the pokemon equivalent of english. accented but fluent when speaking the pokemon equivalent of french. accented and has basic conversational knowledge of the pokemon equivalent of german.
- isidro rafael best represents his dance style. nowadays is more biased towards hip hop, but has deeper roots in contemporary and ballet. very expressive when he performs.
- goshawk is his online and composer alias. though he has his legal names listed for formality’s sake, he normally goes by goshawk as his alias, and he can be easily found by searching @ah_goshawk on all of his socials..
- very into astrology. absolutely knows the majority of his birth chart by heart (aries sun, leo moon, and aquarius rising, by the way) and is absolutely the type to roast you based on your sign.
- very versatile musical range. doesn’t really stick to a single genre for the music he composes, and his followers know him to be experimental in what he does, too. plays around with cadences and melodies a lot and posts almost everything for fun, even if it sounds weird or otherwise different from the norm. personally, though, he loves to listen to rnb (we’re talkin’ 90’s to early 2000’s kinda stuff) and ballads, despite his outward appearance and personality.
- actually very sentimental. has a very extroverted, “eyes forward” and impulsive personality (despite actually being an ambivert leaning to introvert) to the point of seemingly not noticing the finer details, but those details are things he cares about a lot. he has a big heart and has a tendency to fuss a lot with the people he cares about because of it.
- self conscious about his face. wholly due to the accident he was a part of in the past. in addition to making personally designed and manufactured tech gadgets and fashion wear, he’s made it a habit to wear his own masks and other headwear in order to hide the lingering scars and other malformed parts from sight.
