Breaking shit is easy. Rebuilding shit? That's hard as hell, but that's what keeps people like Rita Garnet in demand.[break][break]



Black City in Unova was always falling apart, but engineers like Rita's father worked to build it back up. Everything needs a solid foundation to thrive, so Rita taught herself how to set the stage for success, brick by brick.[break][break]

Architect degrees, check. Kissing the right asses at the right internships, check. Getting to know the business inside-and-out, check. Rita knocked it all off her list and got to work at one of the biggest corporations out there in her field: Vanguard. First known as Vanguard Engineering, but after absorbing several other firms, the name got long, as company names tended to do. What a mouthful it was to say Vanguard: Architecture, Engineering, and Construction Operations Management. You could just say VAECOM, for short. [break][break]

Frankly, it was secure work. Business was booming in the wake of all the demolition caused by Rocket, severe weather conditions, and Pokemon invasions.[break][break]

C-suite executives blew a sure thing, of course. Overpromised, underdelivered, made countless poor financial decisions and invited needless lawsuits. When shit hit the fan, the powerful men scattered and a woman was put at the wheel to stop the firm from driving off of a cliff: Rita Garnet, giving her a chance to shine like a diamond by inheriting the greatest pressure cooker the company had ever known.[break][break]

Not that she was a complainer. Rebuilding shit was, after all, what Rita did best.[break][break]

Her success in Unova brought her to Hoenn, where the dire need for people of her skillset was well-documented. Distortions? Aggressive Legendary Pokemon? Rocket infiltration? It screamed of a challenge, and Rita's hands were suddenly far too idle.[break][break]

When not working, she can be seen jogging at the break of dawn every morning outside her home in Mauville Hills, driving luxury cars with the top down, kickboxing with her Blaziken, or enjoying the simple pleasure of good conversation with interesting people.
