Beau grins, waving a hand self-deprecatingly. "I told you, it's just Beau! Mr. Fontaine is only around on Saturday nights," he snickers, earning himself a sharp elbow from the Pangoro standing next to him. [break][break] Rubbing his ribs and concealing his wince with a bright smile, the Gym Leader gestures to a low ramp leading from the beach to just atop the shallows of the cerulean water lapping at the shore. "I know they say if you're asked to walk on water, it's too much...but guess what?" he enthuses. [break][break] It appears that the first obstacle of the course entails just that - a number of long pontoons has been carefully roped into the shape of a makeshift path leading to a small platform further out into the water. The pontoons bob lazily in the surf, held mostly in place by sections of heavy rope, but still obviously subject to the whims of the water. [break][break] "Keep your balance," Beau advises, tapping the side of his nose knowingly.

Challenging an Obstacle: [break][break] Challenging an obstacle requires a minimum of two posts per obstacle. After your first, Beau Fontaine will react accordingly if necessary before you post further, completing the obstacle. [break][break] As you are undertaking the challenge with Raki the Riolu, he will accompany you every step of the way and complete the obstacles alongside you! [break][break] You begin the Gym Challenge with five stamina points, representing the physical toll the course takes on you and your pokémon. There are three obstacles in total. [break][break] When you make your final post of undertaking the obstacle, you must roll. 1-50 represents a low exertion, causing you to lose only 1 stamina point. 51-100 represents a high exertion, causing you to lose 2 stamina points. [break][break] If you reach 0 stamina, you fall from the obstacle course. [break][break] [break][break]
Obstacle: Water Walking! [break][break] This obstacle features a dozen lightweight pontoons stretched outward in a path, floating just on top of the water. Your objective is to cross the water using the pontoons to reach the next platform. [break][break] However, tread carefully! Though the pontoons are secured to float in place using rope, they're still rather wobbly, and a wrong-footed step will send you rolling into the water! Can you make it across these bombastically bobbing baffles without blowing bubbles in the briny? [break][break] [break][break]
