Bryan had come back to the spot where he was last with Martín del Mar . The flower he had left behind had created a massive garden it seemed..was it due to Xerneas? No, the Pokémon would've told him about it. To be honest this could come as one of his swiss army knife abilities. He crouched down and reached into the soil, finding a small white stone within the dirt. [break][break]

He dusted off the dirt and scanned it's surface, he didn't think it was here before...was it? He had no idea actually if it was or not, he didn't really pay attention to the small details. He however did feel like he was being watched

Someone he was thankful for? There wasn't many people he could think of at first. [break][break]

He was usually alone for most of his life, but there was two people he could think of at the moment off the top of his head, one that pure and innocent thanks, the other one he knew was a deeper and more twisted form of it but still a feeling of thanks. [break][break]

He wrote down the innocent one first as it was so easy to muster up the feelings on his own. "priam conrad .." he says taking his time to write the man's name out. It wasn't the most pretty work but it would suffice. He was thankful for the man he called his lover and significant other, the only one who could weasel his way into his heart before it became cold and bitter. [break][break]

Priam was the only thing keeping him relatively 'sane and human'[break][break]

Then there was another, the one who's feeling of thanks he knew was twisted. Eris Halla , the girl was the straw that broke the proverbial numel's back. The argument she couldn't even remember is what made him finally let go and realize that violence was his method of getting things done, it's the reason he was promoted to beast as he was now designated muscle in rocket.[break][break]

He believed there wasn't that many people to be thankful of at first but more and more names started to pour in, he was starting to run out of space. "Chu-e Choi Killian Decker jayden cross Lulu Flint " and lastly the final name he carved into it.[break][break]

"Anddd...declan...walsh.." He suddenly felt a lot less lonely, he realized he amassed a lot of allies in rocket, his real family, as sick and twisted as it was, it was home.

THE STONE ACCEPTS YOUR NAME(S). Suddenly, the wind billows around you, carrying with it, the softest spring scent. Petals are cradled in these gossamer gales. Colors swirl around, the displaced flowers like gentle jewels painted by nature's own brush.[break]

The GRACIDEA FLOWER is uprooted. Gently. It beckons for you to take it carefully within your hands. As soon as you do, a path of flowers erupts from the stone's northern face. It extends far and into the air. A magical bridge connects Hoenn to a fantastical place hidden by the power of canonized gratitude.

Follow the bridge. Quickly, before it disappears underneath your feet.

Bryan cradled the little flower that had sprouted from the ground. He had rushed onto the bridge that had appeared seemingly out of thin air and began to rush across it. However with each step he took on the bridge, part of it collapsed behind him and he could not keep up. He panicked as he called out "Help me! Please!" he said as he knew he would 'die' from this height, but he really didn't want to feel the entire process of pulling himself together for days. [break][break]

His hive responded as they had been following him in the forest. [break][break]

His Ribombee, the queen of his colony ordered her minions to assist the man who cared for them. They all used quiver dance and slammed into Bryan's back to push him forward, some even grabbing onto his clothes and tugging him forward. Their little wings flapping with as much force as they could muster, all he had to do was stay focused on keeping the flower safe. What the actual fuck was going on? He had not even the slightest inkling of what he had done. Regardless, he focused on keep pacing and not stumbling as his Pokémon lended their aid like they always did.

GRATITUDE AMONG FLOWERS

YOU FOLLOW THE FLORAL BRIDGE. With every step, the flowers spring out beneath you taking root in nothing but air. However, the garden trail behind you disappears. Flowers fade into green bokeh— perhaps, the residue of some fantastical grass-type energy. By the end of this seemingly endless trail, you find yourself seemingly high above the clouds. And in a secluded airborne island.

In its center, the island's field is filled with GRACIDEA FLOWERS, but there are stretches of dirt that are devoid of any plant. Any root. However, something stirs in the flowery abode.

Whatever it is, you are compelled to find it with your own GRACIDEA FLOWER in hand.

OBJECTIVE:

STONE WRITING

write a post that has your trainer's pokemon using ODOUR SLEUTH or SWEET SCENT to find the hidden Shaymin. You must also find the Shaymin in the image above. Once you have found it, please DM or PM shiv on Discord or the Site with the location of the Shaymin.

Bryan had managed to make it just barely, only keeping up with the bridge thanks to the combined effort of his cutieflies. [break][break]

Yet there was another strange sight before him, an island absolutely covered in flowers and life. What in the world? Not just any flowers too, the same one he planted previously. "Gracedia flowers? All the way out here?" he said curiously realizing that his pokemon couldn't really answer him. [break][break]

Bryan looked around, noticing different paths that did not have flowers in them, and in those paths he saw something moving quickly and avoiding him. He raised an eyebrow, was it...stalking him? He doubt it, he sensed no bloodlust from the creature. Maybe he could lure it out? [break][break]

He reached into his back pocket and released his Slurpuff. "Sweet scent." he asked as Slurpuff gleefully obeyed, releasing a disgustingly sweet scent into the air that didn't really ever fail to lure a pokemon in. "There." he says looking over to a small patch of grass that was moving.

A SMALL HEDGEHOG EMERGES FROM THE FLOWERS. Lured or identified by you and your Pokémon's efforts, a Shaymin graces you with its gentle presence. In fact, several Shaymin appear from the kaleidoscope of petals and stem; however, one seems to take the reins by trotting right up to your feet.

The Shaymin raises its snout to the UPROOTED GRACIDEA FLOWER in your hands. With a swift pivot, the Gratitude Pokémon leads you to a stretch of loamy soil. It appears as if the Shaymin wants you to re-plant your flower there...

TILL THE SOIL

His eyes widened, who was this Pokémon? He hadn't heard of it before but it bore the same flower he planted...was it responsible for them? Was it tied to Xerneas? He had no clue but maybe that's why it sought him out. "Sorry bud, im not sure if my powers let me grow plant life.." he sadly informed them. [break][break]

But honestly? He was already here, and he had pokemon who could help him with this. "But, I did grow up on the country side. Let's see what I can do." He had released his dwebble and got to work helping to restore the ground. "Alright dwebble, use rototiller and i'll help see if I can work on this part over here." He says as the two get to work restoring some of the area to make it more hospitable for the plant life. [break][break]

After they were done, bryan wiped the sweat off of his brow and realized he never planted his flower. He went back over to the first spot dwebble had prepped as ribombee, cutiefly and swlurpuff watched eagerly to see what was going to happen.

AS YOU PLANT YOUR GRACIDEA FLOWER, the soil takes the roots graciously. This burgeoning plot is adorned with more color. More life. Seeing that you have accomplished a job well done, the Shaymin faces you in gratitude— and in contest.

It's green grass-like fur bristles. The flowers on its body open more wide, revealing their deepest colors. You gain the sense that the Shaymin would like to battle you to see if you are worthy of its companionship. However, there is a caveat outlined by the other hedgehogs.

You must not damage the flowers. You must fight with grace and care— but this does not mean the Shaymin is an easy fight. Crying out, it fires a potent SEED FLARE at you, a shockwave of energy bursting from its small body and stopping right before the gracidea.

BATTLE SHAYMIN:

CAREFUL OF THE FLOWERS!

WITH EVERY POST, make a ROLL. you must hit or surpass a total of 100 to successfully battle the Shaymin without damaging the flowers. Afterward, you will be allowed to capture it!

Huh? What? Wait, what was it- Suddenly a seed flare was fired off at bryan and his pokemon. It had a mischevious little face on it, that rat wanted to battle? [break][break]

he stared at it "AFTER ALL THAT TIME I SPENT WORKING FOR YOU? REALLY?" He shouted at the thing, a little annoyed but laughing as it reminded him of a certain someone "Alright! Fine! We'll play your game!" he shouts and grins as he hadn't felt this excited in a bit. [break][break]

But the flowers, they were important to this creature so he made sure not to bring out his heavy hitters as they'd get swept up in the chaos of his typical battling style. Well, almost. He just needed one with grace in her steps "Lili! you're up!" he said throwing out one of his starter Pokémon. "Liligant! victory dance! Avoid the flowers! Then go in with a drain punch! Kick? I don't fucking know." Liligant did so with haste and precision.

The victory dance goes off without a hitch, she gracefully dances around each of the flowers avoiding Shaymin's various attacks.[break][break]

Eventually when she got close enough she delivered a drain kickpunch that was extremely precise. It seemed like this version of lily was a lot deadlier than when she was in her clumsy bulky form. However it seemed like it wasn't as effective at first for some reason "It's alright back up! Regroup!" [break][break]

She back flipped towards him "Holy shit you're like an acrobat now... Alright! Leaf blade! Let's try for a critical hit!"

Was she all speed and no punch? It's..it's possible he had no information on what the fuck this form was even called. "ALRIGHT, BIG GUNS TIME. As the battle raged on it was becoming more and more evident that this was the key to defeating Shaymin, via team work instead of Bryan just relying on his Liligant. That's why Xerneas gave him this blessing, so he wouldn't need to worry about himself to help those he cares about. Or some sentimental shit like that right? Bryan wasn't the most touchy feeling. [break][break]

Regardless, Bryan hoisted liligant up into the air and she descended upon Liligant with her little leafy hands using leaf blade to deal the final hit to Shaymin. They both watched to see what the end result of the battle was, looking around ensuring that each of the flowers were ok and thankfully they were! Bryan rushed over to liligant and hugged her tightly, tears rushing from his face as he started to break down a little bit. This battle ended up meaning a lot more to him than he initially thought. he repeated to himself over and over as he realized this is what she wanted. For him to be happy, his precious pokemon cradling him as he fell to his knees. He looked over at shaymin, using his abilities to heal all parties involved back into perfect health before speaking to her [break][break]
