Erin doesn't know who she's supposed to be looking for. All she was given was a cryptic 'you'll know' before being ushered out of the meeting. Well, Erin had been looking around and she's very certain she still doesn't know.

[break][break]

She has no patience for wild goose chases, but she can't exactly walk out of this, so she perseveres. Erin needs as much information on New Mauville as she can get for her next mission.

[break][break]

Slateport's Night Market is bustling with life, which is not too surprising considering it was one of the areas least affected by the invasion. In this sea of nameless faces, identities blur into a single cry for chaos.

[break][break]

And suddenly...

[break][break]

A skull. It's just another hue in the blurred image that is the city at first. Pupils focus, and the white speckle takes shape. Hidden by a black hood and pair of glasses, the mask replaces the artlessness of the setting sun with a thousand questions.

[break][break]

"Getting ready for Halloween, are we?"

[break][break]

She may not know the person behind the mask but she's pretty sure this is the who.

It was unusual for someone in his line of business to be so cavalier but his curious was getting the better of him, it wasn’t every day you had someone so boldly request your services the way this client did. He was under the impression that they did not know exactly who they were getting involved with and that was exciting.

Of course, he did his research beforehand to understand who he would be meeting with, as any professional would. It was what made him comfortable to do this in the first place, he wouldn’t risk so much to put himself in a corner….at least not all the time.

She had searched the market for him unknowing to the eyes that had been watching since she stepped foot in the city. Carefully he studied her every move, you can learn a lot about someone by watching even the simplest and most mundane things they do. Once he gathered enough he decided to reveal himself to her.

Her response was humorous, even getting a chuckle from the hooded figure. The brashness was either coming from a source of ignorance or arrogance, most likely both, but it was amusing nonetheless. Sin would have fun with this one.

”Oh? You’ve got jokes huh? Come to me needing something and the first thing you do is joke?” He shook his head. ”Kids these days have no tact I swear!” The hooded figure sighed before motioning the woman to follow him.

”C’mon kiddo, we’re not doing this out here. It’s way too open, never know who’s listening.” He’d lean in closer, hand up to his face and whisper to the girl. ”Can’t be too sure if the walls don’t have eyes and ears.” His words were followed by a snicker before he’d get moving.

Through the streets of the market, the walked for a bit before coming upon and rather plain looking building. The man remained to himself; the only thing being heard from him was his constant whistling. If any questions were asked there would be no answer, only whistling.

”Now come on, come on!” He’d open the door and wave for her to walk through. ”We can get down to business once we’re inside. No need to be scared I won’t bite…..much!” He laughed at his own silliness. IF she chose to step in side as the man asked it would lead to a flight of stairs that after reaching the third level reached and office which is where they could talk more business.

Erin doesn't think her own joke is all that funny, but she'll let the mysterious man think what he wants of it. He definitely seems to have a penchant for theatrics that she could sometimes share. For now, a smirk is all she offers him.

[break][break]

"How old are you, forty? I don't accept juvenilizing nicknames from anyone younger than my parents." Perhaps she shouldn't be poking too much fun, but this was too good an exchange not to retort to with a cheeky grin.

[break][break]

She has no complaints about moving to a more private location. In fact, Erin would have preferred to skip the few minutes wasted until the man found her. Her feet follow gladly, though not before she calls her gengar out. For good measure.

[break][break]

It's subtle, really. The pokémon materializes not in a cloud of toxins, but into a translucent state that quickly shifts into transparency. Into a fake transparency, rather. The gengar is now hiding in the shadows.

[break][break]

Honestly, Erin isn't all that worried. It's true that the man didn't give the most trustworthy of impressions, but an appearance and attitude as flashy were unlikely to go unnoticed if he were to be an actual serial killer. As for any eavesdroppers, she trusts her pokémon to deal with any that follow.

[break][break]

"You sure you can bite with those fake teeth?" She stops halfway up the stairs just to look back at the mask and its two rows of perfect teeth.
