Littleroot was as boring as any other useless small town Onyx had ever been to; even the new buds of its growth were lackluster, half-finished buildings and tiny houses half-swallowed by the forest.

He lit up a cigarette and looked out over the sleepy town, content to revel in its mediocrity-- at least, for the time being.

“You’ve got to be fucking kidding me,” Onyx muttered as the rotund, pink creature hopped into his field of view. First the Igglybuff, and now this.

He gave a sharp whistle, and Zia sliced down through the air, nailing the Wigglytuff with a STEEL WING and all but deflating it.

Onyx hit it with a Pokeball and Ziadem dropped the retrieved sphere into his palm.

“People’ll think I really like Wigglytuff,” he said with a grin; Zia chose to ignore him as she lifted back into the sky.
