That... was not quite the challenge they had in mind. Still, that tiny Axew seemed to be guarding the path with excess zeal, meaning they couldn't go on ahead unless they beat it. This seemed like a good opportunity for Andrea to train some of her other Pokémon.

"Lola, use Egg Bomb!" The Dragon type enthusiast exclaimed, sending out her towering Alolan Exeggutor. The sentient palm tree shook its leaves in an intimidating fashion, bombarding the Axew with a bunch of egg-shaped projectiles, which was enough to scare the little critter away.

With that, Andrea and Chomper were able to advance deeper into the cavern, their search for powerful dragons persisting.

Lola made like a tree, remaining stationary. She had no reason to move from her current spot, so she was just chilling. A tiny Jangmo-o sheepishly approached the draconic palm tree, yipping at the green coconut on the tip of her tail.

Excited at the prospect of making a new friend, Lola giddily rustled her leaves, which accidentally unleashed a Springtide Storm that swept the poor, diminutive dragon away in a powerful storm of cherry blossom petals. Oops!

Meanwhile, Andrea's search brought her to a large grotto at the end of the cave, where the stream that ran throughout Meteor Falls seemed to originate from. What manner of beast had made this place its lair remained to be seen...

Heavy footsteps echoed throughout the cavern, a fearsome-looking Garchomp making its appearance. With a mighty, draconian roar, it barreled towards the duo with the speed of a fighter jet. With a sharp cry, Andrea leaped off her Hydreigon's back and rolled on the ground, miraculously breaking none of her bones.

Chomper met the enemy's Tackle head on, quickly retaliating with a Crunch. He was then locked into a violent scuffle with his fellow pseudo-legendary as the two of them plummeted to the ground, getting red marks all over his body courtesy of Garchomp's Rough Skin. Frozen air coated his jaws, as he delivered a brutal Ice Fang on Garchomp's thick neck. The territorial dragon hissed in pain, before pushing Chomper back with its Dragon Breath.

"Chomper, it's time! Use Draco Meteor!" Andrea cried out. Draconic energy built up in the Hydreigon's three mouths, before being shot upwards and dispersing into a deluge of flaming meteorites, overwhelming his opponent and causing widespread devastation. When the dust had settled, the Garchomp was crouching on one knee, badly hurt and barely conscious.

"Pokéball, go!" The dragon-hooded girl threw a ball at it, hoping for the best. Afterwards, she would notice something shining in one of the craters created by Chomper's Draco Meteor. Digging with her hands, she found a strange stone that was covered in dirt. "What could this be?" She pondered, storing the mysterious stone in one of her costume's pockets. Perhaps it would be relevant later (wink).
