A loophole that could be taken advantage of, easily, with his power. He could redirect the aggression of his shadow Pokémon to whatever target he pleased. But wouldn't it be that much more impressive if the feral Sandslash didn't harm them at all?

So, when the lioness leaps, Gavin only gives a sharp click of his tongue.

Curling into a ball, the Sandslash PROTECTS its vulnerable points from the worst of the assault. It snarls and spits, enraged, but not once do its deadly claws seek to bleed its attacker. Gavin watches, impassive.

"Satisfied?"

claws scrape against a protective barrier and anya shifts her weight, nonplussed. the thing can listen to commands, but can it be marred, tortured, beaten, bruised and still take meat from its master's hands? teethe his fingers gingerly, almost lovingly, with broken bones and open gashes? 

liquid fire drips from shiva's maw as the lioness snarls in frustration. but her aggression disappears, ears flat against her skull, when anya snaps her finger again. she slinks coyly back to her side and sits, eyes fixated on her prey. 

anya is decidedly not impressed. 

men with their hollow dreams. she strays her fingers over shiva's forehead and the lion leans into her touch, eyes lidded.

"the machine - is it salvageable? the serum, i can recreate easily."

It was a marvel of science, that machine. Horrible and wonderful. Sometimes the failures still haunt his dreams, the hiss of pressure releasing as foul toxin leaked from a deceased subject. Yet here his Sandslash stood, a testament to determination.

"If not, I'm certain our scientists could get it back in working order." He has much faith in them. His sister, , and whom he'd worked so closely with in Kanto. They were brilliant minds, both.

"fine," she says. shiva's tail raises and then flops to the other side of her haunches. when she starts to lean her full weight into anya, the woman removes her hand and snaps a finger. shiva stretches, flashing fangs and casting one long look at the man standing a couple of paces away from them. 

"it should be simple, especially since you have your own collection."
