a group of spinda appear. while a weird pokemon to swarm over a place, it's not entirely a harmless being. at the end of the day, it's still a pokemon that's capable of doing serious damage.

"just, yeah, get them."

the mega houndoom heats up to a point of glowing red. kyle can feel the warm air from the pokemon even when he was a distance away, which only intensified as the pokemon started to attack the horde of spinda.

a fire-type z-move is unleashed, drowning the entire group in an inferno.

while it does the job, kyle quickly recalls the pokemon back to its ball to stop the attack prematurely, worried that it will do damage to the environment.

amid the scene change, kyle has procured the help of a water-type and has it extinguish the forest fire before it becomes serious. with the action done fast, no consequences were faced.

he switches the said water-type out for the houndoom again, so that kyle can berate it for being overkill with their practice partners.

"see? this is what happens when-"

he is interrupted when the houndoom goes to a corner of a burnt bush. from there, a fainted exeggcute lies on the patch of burnt grass. kyle supposed that it was a victim of the houndoom's recklessness, albeit not a direct casualty form the attack itself.

kyle leans down to investigate it. no damage was done externally, so he guesses it must've been choked by the smoke, or something.

grumbling can be heard from his throat. there was one other way to fix it, and it was to get the wild pokemon to a pokeball, else he'd be having his conscience bother him for the rest of the day.

with a drop of a pokeball, he captures the exeggcute.
