kyle sees a rockruff almost as soon as he stands up. the pup stares at him from afar, maintaining eye contact with the trainer for a moment, before running away as he made the slightest movement.

kyle immediately reacts to it. the milotic senses the tension and immediately readies herself to lunge forward.

"disarming voice."

the milotic releases a shrill cry that stops the rockruff from its tracks. the pokemon freezes at place as the water-type continues to put up the attack. it continues until the rockruff falls to its knees. kyle knows it's the opening that he needs to make a successful capture.

he takes out a pokeball and throws it at the rock dog.

this was not what he had in mind when he went all the way here, but he'll take it. it wasn't like it'll interfere with the objective he was here for. he could even think that this was his prize for actually going here instead of being lazy and staying in bed longer.
