[attr="class","skullbody"]Huh. If anything, Isaac figured with her willingness to charge into the water and pick a fight with Mantine, Priscilla would've been a natural swimmer. Instead, it seemed her valor had outstripped her ability. At least she was able to stay afloat, but if the tide started to get a little more intense . . .[break][break]

"Maybe we should back up a bit," Isaac suggested. "Just in case the tides, or another Pokemon, make things a little bit rocky. Mantine had at least been playful about it! If, say, the next set of waves came from a Gyarados, things might be a little less merciful.[break][break]

Isaac wished this was the kind of concept he was better at showing. Unfortunately, as a Lavaridge native who had practically grown up dunked in a hot tub, swimming was practically second nature to him. It would be like trying to teach someone how to walk. Think, Isaac, think! There had to be a way.[break][break]

Luckily, he wasn't alone here. Watson was currently just floating face-down in the water, occasionally letting out a series of bubble giggles as he watched Grimace make a fool out of himself beneath the waves. At this point, the strange hybrid fish was currently having a spirited argument with a pile of seaweed. The seaweed appeared to be winning.[break][break]

It was a fun way to pass the time. However, once Priscilla approached, Watson snapped out of it. He rolled over onto his belly, shooting Priscilla a lazy, easygoing wave. He then proceeded to paddle around; frontstrokes, backstrokes, sidestrokes. There was no form of swimming this croc couldn't muster! However, Priscilla's own swimming seemed . . . like it needed work a little. Huh.[break][break]

For the time being, he swam back over to Priscilla's side. If she tried to swim now, he'd do his best to support her, using his own rapidly-padding legs and buoyant body to help keep her afloat. It was like having a living flotation device![break][break]

And Kurze had a living shadow. At this point, he knew there was only one way to get rid of the dang thing. He motioned for the Zubat to hang on for one second, plopping the little bat down in the nearby shade. It waved a wing as he slinked away, grabbing a Pokeball from one of the pouches in Isaac's backpack. He showed it to the Zubat with a flourish, the bat ooh-ing and aah-ing as he stared into its reflective surface.[break][break]

And then Kurze bopped it with the Pokeball, hopefully bringing his bat problems to a quick and decisive end.
